   Very helpful for the Reading and Writing sections.
The book was helpful for the reading and writing sections of the test. The math section does not show you how to do the problems. The practice tests for math are good. I recommend Richard W. Fisher's Math Refresher for Adults if you need help with the math section. It aided me greatly.

To upgrade my certification, I had to take the CBest. I didn't know if the reviews were accurate, but I took the plunge. It was the best decision I have made. I passed my test and only studied the book. The practice tests were all that I needed. The material was similar to the test. The book was tougher than the test. Purchase it! It can help you.

The best CBEST book is this one. Buy it now if you want to ignore others. Everything you need to know to pass the test. It is worth the time to study and do practice tests. The book gave me all the knowledge I needed. No fluff. I have been out of school for a long time and feel intimidated by standardized tests. I did very well. This is my first review and I buy a lot of books. I feel very strongly about this book.

   Practice tests seemed harder than the actual test
The practice tests helped me practice pacing myself for 4 hours. I liked the varied examples that were provided to practice writing in the book. The questions were varied and allowed for a good practice, and math is my weakest area. There are many explanations for math problems. It might have been broken down into smaller steps to make it easier to understand. The practice tests seemed harder than the actual CBEST. After a few practice rounds of the reading section over the course of a few weeks, I felt very tired. If you pass the Cliff's notes practice tests, you will pass the CBEST without any problems. The book helped me prepare.

   Calmed my CBEST fears
I passed the CBEST exam because of this book, it was thorough and just what I needed to pass the 12 th grade math exam. We went through each page in the class. I know that I wouldn't have gotten through the test without this book. You will need to know every type of math to pass the exam. No matter how much you study, you will need to have strategies in your head to eliminate wrong answers and guess correctly. The book helped me relearn all the math that I used to forget. Good luck with the exam!
