Book Overview

Hundreds of thousands of students and early-career professionals have relied on this authoritative report-writing tool, now updated for DSM-5/ICD-10-CM and newer types of evaluations. In a convenient large-size format, the book covers nearly all areas of concern addressed in intakes, evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and closing summaries. The user seeking the right wording for a clinical document can skim and select from thousands of technical terms, behavioral descriptors, and standard statements. Also provided are interview questions for almost every symptomatic behavior, a huge collection of mental status questions, a reproducible Mental Status Evaluation summary form, and links to hundreds of Internet resources. The companion website offers all the URLs from the book, the reproducible forms, and a handy reference on current psychiatric medications.

   Prefer 7th edition
The seventh edition is probably the best. The 8th edition is compact, but the 7th edition was highly technical.

Saved My Life!! This is a must have!!!
I am a Clinical Licensed Social Worker and I am preparing for my exam. I have been recently challenging myself to use more clinical verbiage, but I didn't know where to start. I bought this book on a whim and wasn't sure it would help, Melissa said. It was widely reported that the disc jockey had lost a lot of money. I feel so much more confident thanks to this book. It's great to have a new kid on the block, said Jennette. HBO said it plans to renew the series "Vinyl" next year.

A must for M.A Psychology students!!
I think this book should be mandatory for students in clinical psychology. Good book, great reference to what an interview should look like. I'm amazed at how good this book helped me out as I'm working on my M.A. in English. This book is like gold, don't sleep on it.

Great for newbies and oldies alike
Helpful to writing. The second part of the sentence says, "Offered alternative phrasing." And when you're older and you start forgetting stuff it's very helpful.

Book with bent corners and bumpy pages
Right corners of the book were bent and pages were bumpy. I can still read it, and since I need it for my education, I'm keeping it. But when I pay $50 for a brand new book I expect it to be in better condition. Please try again with Amazon. com. Link has no product.

New Product arrived with bent covers
The product arrived in a poor condition, with the handles bent and the tape missing. The rest is pretty good, too, said Blair. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes books." It's a bit disorganized, said Blair.
