Price Gouging
Derived From Web , Aug 2, 2021
I'm sure the book has great content, but I was a bit disappointed they charged $60 for a cheaply made book that is less than 12 inches thick. The pricing of text books is ridiculous and speaks to the greed of the publishers, Libowitz said.

Great resource
Derived From Web , Jan 26, 2020
For a while I was just browsing through the Net, and I bought this one for a friend. Easy to follow and use for future reference. Anyone considering a wellness coaching or simply looking to enhance communication skills should consult Dr. Goin. It would be of interest to many fields of study, and would appeal to many professions and interests.

Great for National Coach Exam Study
Derived From Web , Dec 22, 2019
Info presented is well-researched and relevant to today's problems. Throughout the book, the author cites extensively throughout the book sources. The other review, by the federal courts, states that Dr. Goin's claims are "not supported by the evidence." It's just that the reviewer got mixed up with the book "How to Be a Health Coach" by Meg Jordan which has no evidence of any health benefits. This book by Wellcoaches is by far the most professional coaching book of the eight I own.

Missing a chapter
Derived From Web , Sep 28, 2019
Instead of Chapter 11, the second chapter is repeated. This must have been a defective book, the Harrisons said. This is so frustrating, said Blair.

Great content for the new coach- but one small mishap
Derived From Web , Mar 26, 2019
The 3 star review is not because of the content, but because of the distribution. So far I have enjoyed consulting this book for my health coaching practice and think the information is quite valuable as I am a new coach, Morgenthau said. However, there was a large oversight in the manufacturing process that prevented it from being corrected before distribution. It's slightly inconvenient and annoying, but I will just roll with it.

Thorough and straight-forward
Derived From Web , Sep 7, 2018
I recently passed the ICHWC exam to become an NBC-HWC. Only this book was the only one I bought to study. I did, however, use other sources online, such as a study group on Facebook, which had similar questions. This book was easy to use, relatively small so that made it less daunting to study from, straight forward, and inexpensive. Will continue to be a great resource in the future, should I need to refer back, he said. I should also state that I’ve been a Health and Wellness Coach for over 15 years and have gotten other certifications, so I’m sure that played a big part in my success, too. However, I don't want you to think, especially if you are fairly new to coaching, that this book will provide every answer you need to do well.

You won't regret buying this book
Derived From Web , Oct 11, 2017
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to take the test. Only a few weeks later, I would have bought it. The book is a thorough and well-written collection of all the key concepts. The book is packed with practical tools you can use immediately.

Clear and concise
Derived From Web , Sep 7, 2017
I bought the second Ed. Because it was specifically referenced for the National Coaching Exam review, Mr. Pearson said, "it made studying easier." However, there are enough differences between the first and second editions that owning both will be worthwhile. Whether you are a coach or a teacher, you will find this book to be invaluable - concise information to help you put best practices into play immediately in your coaching.
