I won't go into too much detail as to spoil the book but this is a great read for any investor
The book explains how Fisher finds growth stocks that lead to massive gains if held for a long time. It also includes his other writings, including "Conservative Investors Sleep Well."
   Phillip Fisher
He also wrote a great book for investors. It contains so much basic common sense that I am very glad I bought it, Mr. Dhaliwal said.
This is fantastic book to gain knowledge of how to select stock
Gain knowledge of how to select the right stocks, what needs to be thinking behind selecting new stocks and how company number can easily fool uninformed investor. The book is must for gaining high level of confidence and minimize mistakes in intricate financing world. Despite most examples of core investing strategy not changing, Graham argues that it is clear that core investing strategy does not change. It's great to have a book like this out there, before you read any other book.
it's an excellent book to anyone who wants to learn about long ...
Anyone who wants to learn more about long-term investing in a variety of businesses should pick up this book. It's a great read, I recommend it to anyone.
but it is still very good investing philosophy
In my point of view this book is not for a little investor, Mr. Rule told the judge. It's still very good investing philosophy, even if it is dedicated to institutional investors. I've read all the books, but this is by far the best.
   Excellent book
Commonsense principles apply to all situations. It's great to hear from Dr. Goin that people are fully recommending it. It will help a lot, Bruno told the judge.
Must read for any serious investor
Only a book by Michael Lewis would be called among the very best investment books ever written. He has a mastery of all concepts related to successful long-term investing. Leaving few important topics uncovered, Fischer's assessment of the financial community's behavior is as spot on now as when the book was written. Fisher, who has done extensive research into investing, has a very good reputation.
   Time Tested Strategy
These principles are not flashpan trends but fundamentals as valid today as in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
   Preface & intro too long
I like reading books on investing in the stock market, but it was a very difficult time getting into this one. The book would have had too much introduction before diving into the meat of the story. 0 1462228 14622622201 It just had too much preface and introduction before getting into the meat of the story. After reading the beginning of and skimming the rest of the Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits section, I think Fisher's scuttlebutt approach and 15-points to looking for in stocks are methods that average investors are not in a position to execute. The book also has sections titled Conservative Investors Sleep Well and Develop and Invest, which might be more useful if I ever get that far.
   Vintage investing mindset
The book tells the story of how they used to invest in stocks in the 1950s. This book is not for investors who are not ready to abandon high risk positions in today's markets. Only in the case of a car accident would I recommend it to my family and friends.
