   Gets the Job Done
I read this book during a cyber-analysis boot camp that I took. The book seems to be well put together. Tons of information in all the different topics with mini-practice exams at the end of each chapter. I would recommend buying this book as a supplementary for studying for the exam.

   Good but but not Enough!
Good book, but not enough to pass the exam. I highly recommend you to get the book of practice questions from the same author. The practice questions are even harder than the questions you see in the exam. I just passed this exam with 756, but I studied for 2 months with this book, the practice questions book and Jason Dion - video course. For this exam you need really hands-on experience or you are not going to pass it. Definitely a book that I will keep for the rest of my life for its excellent knowledge.

   It helped me pass
As with any exam, these textbooks cover not and do not cover everything. However, it is a solid foundation to use as the foundation for the Cysa+ exam. I recommend the accompanying Examination - Question Book to help inform specific examples of logs that you may encounter on the exam.

Poor communication of concepts. Painful to read.
It seems like the book was written by that guy at work, who creates documentation in a way he understands. Going through chapter 2 twice and then trying the review questions felt like I was being rolled. It is hard to describe how dry this book is. It isn 't dry because of its details, but it is like reading a beautiful structured dictionary that scratches only the surface of what you actually need to know. Other text books by Sybex included at least analogies and case studies to back concepts.

   Great resource I passed
The book does a great job in covering the goals. I recommend following the book recommendations by actually visiting the suggested websites such as NISTMITREetc., to gain a better understanding of these topics. It is also a good idea to actually go through the practice labs, which might require downloading some free software or perhaps watching a YouTube video of someone using the software. Some labs I failed, but once I took the practice test, I realized that memorization can be relied on alone. I referring for future interviews for inspiration to this book. I did supplement this book with the companion book for more test questions, which I felt went even deeper on covered things that this book didn 't cover.

   Good Simple Easy to understand
This book series is my favorite. You used them to pass the Network+, Security+ and Project+. Today I am working on this one. Its probably about 4-5 day cycle read on average for most people with easy retention. The perfect balance is between clarity and simplicity. I tried a different book brand and it was too confusing and tedious ''. These books are also very well organized for a 45 minute full skim for a subject refresh.

   Antiquated Method Due to PBQ
The reason I give it two stars is that the books no longer fill the need for a modern IT certification study. Exams are not anymore a single choice. Today, exams use performance-based questions, otherwise known as simulations. The current method of exam preparation is Lecture and Lab, not just Lecture. Current-day sites specialize in this training not only offering the lecture portion, but also offer labs where a person actually goes through simulations similar to what he or she will find in the actual exam. I purchased this only for reference and does not cover all the exams well enough for a passing score.

   Seems good
The book seems ok to me. I purchased this book because I was not sure that I would be ready for the test 001 before it expired. After reading the 001 book from the same authors, read about half this book and passed the 001 test. So, not sure if this book covered everything on the 002 test or not.
