Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
Never really into Self Help books '', but this one was recommended to me by a friend, and from the instant I picked it up, it was eye opening. If you are prepared to accept the future with full responsibility for your actions and learning to recognize the patterns you may not have seen before I recommend completely. This is not about taking responsibility for the bad ; it is about seeing when the bad started and how and when the behavior was not constructive, so that it can be corrected, stopped and avoided. Can be read alone or together with a partner to help you find the right relationship for you.

Honesty and Transparency is key!
Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
I was a little skeptical when I heard from someone that Gay Hendricks was *body-centered '', but I started reading this book with my fiancee and it is working wonders for our relationship. He really means to be present with your feelings and to be in touch with yourself during a relationship. We now have a common language we can use in dealing with our relationship, and the positive approach teaches Gay to empower creative individuals while co-committed in the relationship. His pleading for honesty and transparency to liberate a relationship really cuts through all the complications that people tend to bring into the process. It is really easy and simple with Conscious Loving, but both people have to be willing.

Essentially reading for Developing healthy relationships
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2021
I read this book at the beginning of my 29 year marriage and set the tone on how to communicate and treat each other. I bought 2 more copies, one for each of our 20 something children, to help them in their serious relationships. Information is essential and, I believe, timeless to help build happy and healthy relationships.

Good message with unreasonable beliefs and statements
Derived From Web , Jul 7, 2019
Good suggestions, but clouded by superstitious crystal-ball-esque statements that took away from the validity and believability of the book. For example, the authors describe a pattern in which a person becomes sick as a choice to deepen co-dependency. What if she was simply exposed to a virus? Often, being sick is unrelated to relationship issues. Chronic sickness-sure. Also often would write about how a client would have a magic breakthrough in their office and always felt the need to sob more than they began to cleanse, as though this seemed to me like some weird religion preached to them.
