Initially, I was thrown by the use of the suggested age range for this book, until I noted that there is a difference between reading age, which I believe refers to comprehension, and the suggested 5-12 grade levels, which is 10-12. I write the social-emotional lessons for my 11th grade students. Knowing that our basic education program is limited to only 2 80 minute lectures that cover the most basic ideas about sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy, I wanted to create lessons more directly related to students creating healthy relationships with themselves and others. This book was a beautiful jumping off point for these lessons. I highly recommend it for parents and teen readers to read and have discussions.

I went through this book before giving it to my son, and it looked very interesting and very informative. Besides consent, covers so many things. My son even says it is very interesting and he enjoys it. If you want to educate your child on sex, consent, and everything else in between, highly recommend! I think it is a lot more empowering for the reader as well as it talks about how he feels about sex : I want my son to be full of knowledge before the time comes! The importance of sex education is so important. Highly recommended!

Very informative, but unappropriate book. I think the language is perfect in describing information that is definitely taboo in our time. The illustrations are fun and the book is the type of read that you can always go back to for any topics you want to look back on. Especially for our youth, highly recommended.

I'm so happy that I bought this book not only for my daughter, but also for her friends. While my daughter is growing, I maintain. A very close relationship'I feel we can speak about anything - I still think it is important for her to be able to read about what writers wrong regarding consent besides hearing it from her parents. Just by the fact that she had the book in her room, it has led her friends to browse through it's initiated conversations amongst herself.

I bought it for him after he and his step brother were caught playing with each other's bodies in the hope that it would focus on boundaries and consent. It did... but in a teenage way. My 10 year old does not know yet about “bottoming â€.

I am a high school student in my hometown and my mom got me this book. I have agreed to read it out of curiosity and all I can say is that it was amazing! This book was a good reminder of things I already knew, but also introduced things I had not really thought about. It also explained the thing and helped me to get a deeper understanding of relationships, consent and sex. I would definitely recommend this book to both young and teenage adults.
