Read it even of an interview is not in your immediate future.

Excellent primer on the role. Great resource for preparing for both PM and data science interviews. Even if you are not interviewing, but somewhat transitioning into the role, it will help you map out the requirements, expectations, skill set, etc... The behavioral sections are a boon for anyone on the job market, as the interview-specific questions are just about the same, regardless of position. Together with Decode and Conquer and The Sacred Seven, this should be one of the first books to grab for an introduction to product management, along with Decode and Conquer and the Sacred Seven. Highly recommended! Highly recommended!

Very practical and very practical. Dense with actionable information provides : Although this book is written for job seekers, those looking to hire a PM should definitely read it, too. Hiring managers, are you asking ridiculous questions hoping to uncover proxies for aptitude, or are you testing for aptitude directly?

Good content - but the product itself is poorly glued

After flipping a few pages, the book started falling apart - I now have a few dozen loose pages, which makes it really hard to handle the book.

Feeling 3x more prepared for PM interviews after reading this book!
Derived From Web , Nov 10, 2019
I just finished reading this book and I am highly satisfied with the content. I'm preparing for PM interviews, with mock interviews coming next, and I feel much better having read this book. As a result of this book, I have more work to do, practice my answers to the self-pitch, behavior questions, product questions, estimation, case and coding. There are tons of example questions that I can now practice answering before the interviews begin. I was very unsure of what to expect before this book, and now I feel like I'm on the right trajectory to land a great job. Thank you to the authors. My highest recommendation ''. And wish me luck! , '' .

Whoever was the Product Manager for this Book gets an A+
Derived From Web , Apr 6, 2019
While there are some omissions in this book that I would have liked to learn more about, I felt thoroughly prepared at the end to not only take my next job interview, but also experienced a real shift in paradigm with how I approached the product strategy. This book was obviously produced with very thorough research, guided by sage real-world experience, and amplified by adding to the wisdom of outside influencers. The only thing I wish it had was more advice for product managers of physical products. The focus was very much centered on software-oriented products, though *nearly* all the same principles will certainly translate to hardware. Definitely no hesitation in recommending this book! Definitely no hesitation in recommending it!
