Named a top food & drink book of 2017 by The Food Network, Wired, Sprudge, and Booklist.
This comprehensive but accessible handbook is for the average coffee lover who wants to make better coffee at home. Unlike other coffee books, this one focuses exclusively on coffee--not espresso--and explores multiple pour-over, immersion, and cold-brew techniques on 10 different devices. Thanks to a small but growing number of dedicated farmers, importers, roasters, and baristas, coffee quality is at an all-time high. But for nonprofessionals, achieving caf' quality at home can seem out of reach. With dozens of equipment options, conflicting information on how to use that equipment, and an industry language that, at times, doesn't seem made for the rest of us, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Craft Coffee: A Manual, written by a coffee enthusiast for coffee enthusiasts, is a comprehensive guide to improving your brew at home. The book provides all the information readers need to discover what they like in a cup of specialty coffee--and how to replicate the perfect cup day after day. From the science of extraction and brewing techniques to choosing equipment and deciphering coffee bags, Craft Coffee focuses on the issues--cost, time, taste, and accessibility--that home coffee brewers negotiate and shows that no matter where you are in your coffee journey, you can make a great cup at home.It takes about 4 Hours and 44 minutes on average for a reader to read Craft Coffee: A Manual: Brewing A Better Cup At Home. This is based on the average reading speed of 250 Words per minute.
Craft Coffee: A Manual: Brewing A Better Cup At Home is 272 pages long.
Edition Contained Bleeped Vile Swear Words

If I had to judge by the cover, which I probably shouldn’t have, I was quite surprised to find asterisks leaking a very bad swear word. I now have doubts. If swearing is part of the new coffee wave, I think I pass.

Save money by making your own.

I '' am relatively new to gourmet coffee. At least, brewing and preparing my own. I have been a long-time drinker and I am trying to get most of the sugar out of my diet. In order to make the switch and ease my transition, I teach myself to brew and prepare a gourmet coffee. I love really good coffee and coffee drinks, but buying them out is inconvenient and expensive. Consequently, I purchased this book to guide me in selecting and using coffee equipment and coffee beans. I'm now retired so I have time to do it, and I really prefer to stay busy so that the coffee helps. As an amateur barista, I really look forward to preparing that perfect cup of coffee, latte or expresso. This book seems to be well written and organized, so I am optimistic that I will learn and enjoy making my own coffee beverages.

... came upon this book because a friend of mine recommended it and I bought it because I love coffee
Derived From Web , Nov 7, 2017
Then I bought this book because a friend of mine recommended it, and I came to it because I love coffee. The book was not a disappointment if I can use an analogy : I came into reading it a bean and came out of fine ground. It covers everything about coffee brewing, hardware, the bean and the best ways of brewing. If you love coffee, you will love this book.
