Every child has days where he feels like this. Not as much text as I would have liked, but the monster has great appeal to young readers. I personally liked Berger's Martha Doesn't Say Sorry and Martha Doesn't Share titles more than this, although I think the publisher's choice of pink and purple covers keeps some boys from reading the stories I am sure they would enjoy.

The illustrations were nice, but it didn't have enough content
Derived From Web , Jun 4, 2022
As a teacher, I can not read this to my students with a smile on my face. The illustrations were nice but didn 't have enough content, and the word HATE is a terrible thing to say over and over again. Crankenstein is essentially a spoiled child with a nasty attitude. I can't encourage this behavior with no thanks.

The main character is a nice cranky little boy who is never taught to control his anger, it is not even funny. The only thing that makes him smile is another cranky, nasty child. He even wakes up angry... Don 't understand all the rave reviews.

It was nice to be able to see the digital version so that they could clearly see it during our remote teaching time period, and the digital copy was a super good value.

Relatable Character
Derived From Web , Oct 23, 2020
What makes you cranky? For Crankenstein, a melting day, a rainy popsicle and an early bedtime make this ordinary boy into a mumbling, grumbling Crankenstein. I think that a lot of children who have had a bad day will relate to Crankenstein. This is a great book to read near Halloween, but it could really be shared at any time of the year.

Good story but not a good practice reader

It is a good story, but the book lacks words. It is very easy for my 7 - year old to read in a few minutes.
