Don’t purchase if you can’t read crochet
This book is great for people that can read crochet. If you have never learned to crochet, I would recommend starting with a more beginner-friendly book.
The writer said it had 200 stitches but many are just variations of a few stitches. There were some stitches that I was looking for that were not in the book.
   Great purchase
Television images could not be loaded. Please send me pictures and color if you have them. The trick is to use a coaxial cable to get around the problem. YouTube tutorials sometimes don't help. It's always great to have a book to reference.
   An excellent resource
Each pattern is summarized and given a step-by-step explanation with pictures of the stitches, and a picture of the finished product. Basic Stitches to Start with, a great deal of patterns and an appendix of stitches and abbreviations, will appeal to beginners and those who have a good deal of experience. It does require a certain degree of reading comprehension, but it could still be a great book for a beginner.
   Definitely NOT for beginners!!
The Harrisons’ claims are false, the Crown said. The instructions are convoluted and the photos are not much help. It's not easy to follow. The author has attempted to cram 200 crochet stitches into this book without taking the time to properly define and provide step-by-step instructions for each one. The book is also packed with such useful information as how to properly measure your dog's breed. It's great to be back home, said Blair.
   Very helpful
I think this book is amazing, Rowling said. There are so many stitches in this one. If you want to do something different, this book will help. I can pick one to make a new looking afghan or anything. It has everything I like about it. A color photograph of the pattern, written directions and the symbol. I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, and this book is just awesome.
   Sad I bought this.
Many of the errors are due to human error. Some pictures don't match up to the pattern and some patterns have the wrong directions. Rather frustrating and I'm not an experienced crocheter.
Not worth it if you can't understand the patterns
Tried a couple stitches but couldn't get it right.
   Quite confusting
This book is very confusing and I found it difficult to follow along with many of the instructions. The instructions are rather weird, for example, for Step 1 Skipping first ch, it lists them as Steps, rather than just steps. The second step is to go to Step 2 What??? I would have liked to have tried many stitches, but couldn't figure out the abbreviations. Sorry, I bought this product.
I think this book can be enjoyed by experienced and beginners
I cannot wait to make all these patterns. I think this book will be of interest to experienced and beginner readers alike.
