The message this book gives can be summed up with communicating with others. The components for engaging in uncomfortbable and important conversations are explained in the book. The authors state that you must start with the heart. It requires you to understand what you want and don't want when engaging in crucial conversations. I like the fact that the book provides explicit methods when dealing with others during crucial dialogue, and while it is quite a bit of information to absorb, they segment it in a way that can easily be retained. If you feel like you have good communication skills, there are things in this book that will help you strategically dialogue. Although it is a quick read, the authors encourage you to practice your methods slowly as you read the book.

I am skeptical of improvement books and have been in sales and sales management for many years. I was surprised by the original approach and effective process when I read this. I have to say that this book has changed my life. I have always disliked confrontation, but this changes it. Even if they didn't win the argument, the approach allows everyone involved to come away feeling respected and satisfied. It has made me a better husband, a better father, and a better manager. If you practice this process and listen to the message, you will be amazed at the result. I have given this book to everyone who works for me and practiced the steps with them.    A must read!
Everyone should read this book. It's great for professional and personal relationships. It's taken me a while to get through because I had some emotional stuff brought up as I play back past conversations and analyze how I could have done them better. The book is great for adulting and I wish it came in a kidsteen version. It has made me feel better about conversations. Just one chapter changed me. It is a must read.

   The book is fine, the provider isn't
This isn't the best conversation book I' ve ever read, but it's helpful and thoughtful. The provider stated that the book was a clean used one, but in reality it was marked up to over 40 pages. Their lack of integrity was a disappointment to me.

   The Best Read!
Just a few pages in, it was obvious that this was going to be a game- changer. It's a great read to put things into a new perspective and allow the reader to sympathize instead of analyzing how others process things. It's a great way to start practicing communication. I got a very nice note from the seller. ?

   Oh my
The review is about how I received the book and its condition. I expect good when it says buy used good. I don't expect new but I do expect good. What I got was very frightening. This book had enough hair in it to make a wig, but I am not sure if someone was ripping their hair out reading it and coming to some realizations and then stuffing their hair in the book so it shows what page they were most frustrated on. There were sticky black substances on multiple pages, apart from the mass hair clumps. Some people have hair that is attached for pleasure. Half of the book is water damaged. When I read the book in my bed, I was horrified. Someones bed of hair was with me as I read.

This piece of word is needed now and then. I added the importance of responsibility to who and how we are in the world after reading it. Difficult conversations are the start of having conversations that matter. This is how to be good now.
