My daughter has curly hair and I was at a loss on how to properly handle hers until I read this book. It's great to be able to make my own haircare products for my daughter's curly hair, Beckham said. It took me awhile to come around to some of the guidance but I am now a believer, he said.

Curl help!!
Derived From Web , Apr 7, 2021
It's a great book on how to engage in a healthy relationship with one's own curly hair. It was a great show, said Blair. No one in my family had as curly of hair. No one had helped me figure out what my hair needed to look its healthiest. It gave me answers, recipes, and wonderful background and history of curly hair. Anyone with curly hair, young or old, will find this book useful. This was such a huge help and now I feel that I understand my hair and it's at it's healthiest it's ever been.

The first time I bought it, it was lost, and I never got it back. Great book especially if your hair is unmanageable. Great work, said Michael Berryhill, executive chef at Wolfgang's. I tell everybody I know with curly hair about this book. Yes, I will not lend to anyone.

If you have 4A, B or C (natural) hair, this book is NOT for you
Derived From Web , Mar 13, 2019
I thought the book had pretty good advice, but immediately stopped reading when I got to the chapter about African American tightly coiled hair. It's just that they call it, "The Blair Witch's." A texturizer is a mild relaxer, and this book is supposed to be about caring for ALL hair types and putting in chemicals, but instead they suggest chemicals for tightly coiled hair. If you have any other texture or type of hair, then this is the book for you.

Learning more about my hair made it easier to manage and which, for me, lead to more confidence.
Derived From Web , Sep 9, 2018
It has been a total disaster for me, as a matter of fact I never wore it down. At some point, I decided to start accepting myself. Throughout my process of self-acceptance, I tried to figure out how to manage my hair because I wanted to love it. I watched many videos where they talked about the curly girl method. It was a book I had to read and have it. It helped me learn a lot about my hair. It's great to be back home, said Booher, who now wears her curls M-F. The main take away is to avoid sulfates and silicones, Burt Flickinger said. Learning more about my hair made it easier to manage and lead to more confidence, Bustamante said.
