excellent resource

It helps reinforce the skills that students continue to need reinforcement as well as touch skills like parts of speech, Similemetaphor, reference materials, etc. I use it with my 5th graders to help them learn skills they are touching in their general education. Classes are taught by : I already had the daily 1st-4th grade language and I use them as well.

Great series
Derived From Web , May 24, 2022
I have used every level of these books and have them daily! Love the very short 5 question pages that you can use daily. Each day has 2 sentences that need correcting and then varies in skills to complete the remaining 3 questions. The students seem to do well with them and can show me quickly and easily what skills they struggle with more.

Awesome!
Derived From Web , May 24, 2022
It repeatedly covers what will be in the test, so my son faul blew through the test and scored well above average. If there was something he was having problems with, we used another workbook to cover it. Otherwise, I explained to him what he needed to know and he picked it right up. Basically, this was all we used. He picked it up just by doing the exercises.

Great for the student who needs more practice
Derived From Web , Apr 6, 2020
Some children really don 't need this practice, but it is essential for my daughter. Great book for those whose children need to continue to practice mechanics. One thing I am wondering is it still relevant to practice how to find words in a dictionary? A few of the skills practiced today have little relevance. Do they test on this still? To me, spelling has less importance in a curriculum, but the book has other questions about making sure that the student uses the correct word that spellcheck will not find or etc. I did not mark down for this, but I'm wondering.

Missing heart but efficient as a workbook.
Derived From Web , Feb 17, 2020
This process of workbook style is missing the heart. Glad to have it as a tool to know the standard for his grade level, but I do with him as little as possible to be sure that he can do it. It has been helpful for this so. I am happier with classical conversations and the method of Charlotte Mason. The delivery was fast.

I use this as a quick review on days my son does not get much homework, but targets all areas. It does not take more than 5 minutes to complete. The answers are in the back and it is helpful. Keeps him as well sharp during the summer.

Great for teaching new concepts and reviewing old items
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2019
My daughter does not hate this workbook, which says a lot to me! Each daily review is usually half a page, so that during our entire homeschool year, we can only do 1-2 pages per day. Over the course of the week, several concepts are covered. It gives back answers, which is a plus. It seems to me that a lot of materials don 't include answers so that you must buy a separate answer key, and I am happy that this is not the case with this book.
