Have you ever wondered what would happen if Batman was taken over by buying an evil version of himself? This book tells the story of how alternate versions of an evil batman plan to defeat the Justice League. This is a must read if you want to read the dark knight metal series. Also, don 't read from start to finish just reading.

Amazing
Derived From Web , Jun 4, 2021
It showed up quickly, which pleased me. I have not yet read it, but I look forward to it. This gives a lot of background to the death metal series, which I have read and thoroughly enjoyed. Now I have to read back and go to metal. Many of the characters Todd McFarlane draws as his source material came from this storyline, among others. I have seen some of these figures and seeing them in the pages of these comics or in this case graphic novels is just a real gas!

Worth it!!
Derived From Web , Feb 27, 2021
The seller was top of the schedule for this book amazing. As advertised, came in perfect condition, book itself is pretty good, the death machine was a lot more interesting back story than I thought it would be. The backstory of every bad twisted Batman is very unique and interesting, considering that Batman can never kill... well, guess what he can and in some pretty interesting ways. This is just a chapter of the metal saga, but it is one of the best parts!

Entertaining Tie-in to Dark Nights: Metal
Derived From Web , Nov 1, 2020
Minor spoilers : This volume, a tie-in to Dark Nights Metal, gives the backstories for the 7 psychotic batmen of the dark universe and is pretty solid as a standalone. Good art, interesting stories and a few otherworldly twists and turns. My only gripe, and it is very minor, is that they all feel a bit like-y after the first couple of issues. A version of Bruce in another world suffers tragedy, goes too far and breaks his code, steals from another herovillain or is corrupted by power, joins Barbatos. That's pretty much the formula ; give or take a few glimpses of the present day at the events of metal. Still, there are some pretty unsettlinggruesome events that are always part of the fun of alternate universes-things that you could never expect or want to see in the main continuity. If nothing else, it is a dark and entertaining ride and definitely worth checking out if you liked the main metal storyline.

SOME BAD GUYS LAUGH.
Derived From Web , Jul 7, 2020
These stickmen laugh from the one who rises. It is a collection of where these guys came from and how they came to be. The Batman who laughs is a smart bat. A killer team up there with one on-off team.

WOW....
Derived From Web , Feb 7, 2019
The book is absolutely amazing. But metal is still the number one, but this comes in at a close 3rd in the Dark Nights series. The 3rd place is still podium-worthy. I can not spoil any of this wonderful story that Batman and Scott Snyder have crafted over the years, but take it from a Greg Capullo fan. This is a five-star arc.

Best DC Comics in years!
Derived From Web , Jul 29, 2018
This story line has been one of the best coming out of DC Comics and I have the whole set of the comics since it started. This book is great, but does no justice because it skips so much, but also adds background from what we should know about the story background.
