No Longer Canon, but Worth it for Fans and Neophytes!
Did you ever hear of the plague? That line in Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith serves as the jumping-off point for a decades-spanning epic about the Dark Side and the return of the Sith. James Luceno weaves the events of the prequel with numerous novels, creating a narrative that is equal parts myth and legend. As he now writes for the new canon, he has dropped references to this material.

Awesome Book, but only for dedicated fans
At last, Palpatine's origin has been revealed! The secret behind Anakin's fatherless birth also comes up in this book, and the truth is a bit surprising,.. there were a few clues in Episode III, but like any Sith statement, those were only half of the truth. I would recommend this book to people not familiar with at least a few things in Sith lore, starting with books like the Darth Bane trilogy, The Courtship of Princess Leia, Jango Fett Open Seasons, etc. However, a lot of context is needed to make sense of this book's many, many revelations.

One of the Better Star Wars Novels in Awhile
After going through a slew of sub-par Star Wars novels, I was mostly pleased with this one. At least half the book focuses on Sidious and Plagueis, although they are barely mentioned. It was good to get Palpatine's back story and read his transformation from young man to Sith Lord. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of Slow and Confused by George Saunders. The book covers a large span of Star Wars history, several decades leading up to episode I, so it feels as though it jumps a lot. At the same time, when it focuses on a span of time, it feels a bit plodding and almost boring. Overall it was a satisfying read that will appeal to hardcore Star Wars fans. Casual fans may want to avoid it.

   I regret reading this book
For mephamarachne, the plague should have remained a mystery. It makes him a terrifying character, too. The book was in my hands when I got home from work. It was in my library for months. It took me until the very last moment to read the entire thing. I'm not a fan of Luceno's style, but that is another story. What I liked most about the second half was that Plagueis' cunning hand at the Grand Plan. The worst part was the way the plague was killed. It makes him appear to be a weak, useless drunk disposed by a superior Sidious. The book never happened, Mr. Rule told the judge.

The front cover had a creased appearance. It is doubtful that this was caused by transportation, since rest of book is in good shape, he said.

I need to “read the fine print.”
The book was in excellent condition when we picked it up, the publisher said. However, I had neglected to mention that the product stated that the book did not come with the original slip cover. I am satisfied with the product, Mr. Dhaliwal said. The book arrived on time and was well packaged, McCartney said. Thanks for your prompt delivery.

That Novel was absolutely fantastic. Persepctively explaining how everything came to fruition
Darth Plagueis, The Wise Sith Lord, was a long-awaited addition to the Lord's repertoire. Plaguies was so powerful with the force he could stop people from dying. I recommend that anyone reading that book should give it a try. Beginning with Count Dooku and Jedi Master Syfo-Dias explaining everything came to fruition, it was clear why this was all so important. The persuasion that made him who he had to become.
