Well done, just too much detail for 6-yr-old
My 6-year-old is a very advanced reader, so I was looking for a bigger Bible for children that would manage to skate over the parts that are just too old for a 6-year-old. This one does a good job in some areas -- manages to get very well through David and Bathsheba and Abram and Hagar, never explicitly saying what happened. But there were a few areas that were just too much violence, David slashing Goliath's head, that sort of thing. When David's baby died because of Bathsheba's sin, that is just not easy to explain to a youngster. And it used the phrase sexual sin -- I am just not ready to have that conversation yet. It's all true, and she'll read that stuff a day, but I just put it back on the shelf until she's a little older. Just too much for a gentle 6-year-old's imagination. But for sure, a well-done Bible is still a good book.

   Great Bible for youth
I recommend this Bible for children ages 8-12. If you have a 6-7 year old who can handle no pictures and is an avid reader, it will suit them fine. My son is almost 8 and reads very well and this is just right. I also have the Begin to read version for my three year old, and it lacks substance, but is very short. I use this version as part of our Bible study at home.

   It's ok, but
I bought this as a new version and I liked the Bible itself, being that it is a kindle Bible and that is what I was looking for. I was happy to see that it did not go by actual date, but disappointed that it did not have headings for Day 1, Day 2 etc. I was confused as to what we were reading and what day it was, and stopped reading this version to my children, I would have much rather it had headers for what day the reading was.

Great way to read through the Bible with kids!
I realize how many stories in the Bible that my children have not heard through us or Sunday school, because it is hard to tell them in a way that kids can understand. This Bible makes the stories very good and has struck a ton of understandable conversation with my kids! A great way to give children the whole picture of God's word, is to give them a great picture.

I gave this as a gift
I gave it as a gift to a child who was adopted. It looked like a good Bible for children, but don 't know for sure.

   Wonderful Bible for Pre-Teen!
This Bible is an excellent way to incorporate the habit of daily Bible reading into the lives of young people. It was bought for my 10 year old son to go along with a challenge issued to him at the church.

   Great for 9-year-old
We gave this to our nine-year-old. Having the Bible divided into daily reading sections has helped motivate her to read the short way.

   Easy to understand
My son loves preparing this with me for 7 minutes a day. My son is almost 4 and seems to be able to understand it quite well and takes only 7 minutes, which I think is a great time. Not long for them to get bored and not to be able to learn something new.

   Excellent for small kids:
This is not a word for word translation, but a comprehensive overview of biblical stories and narratives to tell the child about O. T. And N. T. Narratives.

   The real Bible story book
What helps kids learn a lot in God's word and be the Bible at their level. I'm excited about it and it allows me to speak to my child about applying the Bible - teachings to modern everyday life. In hopes of fostering a love of God in our children and fostering a relationship with Jesus, who will help us and our children in their lives, especially when we are not there to help them.
