   The Beloved Days with Frog and Toad
My daughter's nursery is out decked in Frogs, so the discovery of these books made them books we had to consider. Both are great books, said Axel Lee, Scholastic's executive vice president. At 11 months old, she is too young to read them herself, but we read them to her because she enjoys them. The stories are simple with a central theme - do good for others, treat your friends with respect, help your firends when they need help, and have a good life with adventure. These are great to instill in young minds the virtue of hard work and dedication. If the books were made of cardboard, she would be even more happy with them - as it is she frequently grabs one of them when it is time for her bedtime story. By the time she starts to read she will know the stories by heart, but that's ok - nostalgic bedtime stories like these should help her build a lifelong interest in reading on her own.

   A classic series, still enjoyable today
The pictures are so vivid, I still read them almost every day. He also writes about the ups and downs of friendship, often with a wry sense of humor.    GREAT FOR LEARNING
Ms. Kennedy, who has repeatedly said she cannot complain, agrees. It's great to be back home, said Blair. She has a passion for reading and writing. She will be in second grade next year.
