   Useful information for anyone who may have to defend themselves
I don 't know what I can say that other reviewers haven 't, but I wanted to add my enthusiasm for the vital information provided here. This is not a training book. There isn 't advice about where to stand, how to hold your gun, what ammunition is best. Herein are the experience and close knowledge of what happens to law abiding citizens who must defend themselves from physical harm, only to find out that now they must also defend themselves against an army of prosecutors and a media more interested in making a story than recognizing that we must do what we must do to protect ourselves and our families. It isn 't. If you carry a gun or keep a rifle near the bedroom door, then read this book. For the extreme liberals the world is black-and-white. For the rest of us, we have to defend our choices and our ideas that seem to be hurled into gray areas. If you have help, it is always good to have.

This book is a must-have and MUST-read for anyone regularly carries a gun. This is the critical education needed to know when it is okay to shoot and the critical information needed to be admissible in court when it is time to defend yourself for defending yourself. In fact, even if one thinks that they know all there is to know when they can pull the trigger. By reading this book you can claim it as part of the knowledge you had at the time making it admissible in court. Read this book and have it on your bookshelf if for no other reason the information contained is invaluable and can be told to the Jury in court! Do yourself a favor : get it, read it, keep it.

The biased prosecutors and media are particularly covered and how that affects the statements and actions that you might want to make if you are ever involved in a shooting. Lots of thought-provoking information and references.

If you read this book concealed or open, it can save you jail time and civil lawsuits. If you don 't understand what can happen if you have to use deadly force, you can be in big trouble. Massad Ayoob is an expert in this field and tells you how it is. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF ASSUMING, YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT THE USE OF DEADLY FORCE!

If you carry it concealed. i would recommend reading this book highly. It tells you what is from Massad's experiences on what is. Justifiable situations can justify the use of deadly force. The consequences after a shooting and what can happen in even a concealed shooting... like i said if you carry this book.

It is very important to understand your right of self-defense. There are so many examples of court cases in this book that you won 't put it down. Then think about how all that could also happen to you. Very good book and a must read for concealed license holders or homeowners with guns they may have to use for self-defense. Do you know what happens when you pull the trigger?

   Essential knowledge for anyone who might be involved in a self-defense incident of any type
I can 't speak highly enough about this book. It does not much matter whether you are a gun owner or not, this book contains much that will help you if you find yourself attacked and forced to use something resembling deadly force to defend yourself. I remember reading Masad Ayoob when I was a teen in the 1970s. He was even then an expert, and his content is today as solid and as rigorous as anyone could hope for. On the aspect of self-defense that this book brings out that is disheartening that so many prosecutors and police departments are more likely to come down on the side of the criminal than for the self-defender. Hence, all the more reason why you should know about self-defense law and how it works.
