Share with the important women in you life.
This is a great book to read to a girl or woman in your life. I've given to people over the age of 80. It is a good way to let people know that you are there for them.

   Perpetuates stereotypes
I don't like books that tell girls they have to choose between being active and pretty. My daughter is playing in the mud in her princess dresses, you can be both at the same time. I'm returning the book because of that. The rest of the book is not really special.

   A beautiful gift
I taught preschool for a decade. One of the books I like to read to class is this one. It has great lessons. I like to give it as a gift rather than a card for people with littles. This book is excellent.

Page 4 and 5 is seriously wrong and will create complex
I really liked this idea but it made me angry. Red hair, feckless and birthmarks are made a "flaw" by Page 4 and 5. This makes it more odd for kids to want to have a birthmark, a red head, or have gorgeous freckles.

   Amazing Message
The book is amazing. My five year old is having self-esteem issues. She loved it and we did the same.

   We love this book
My daughters are getting a baby sister, so I bought this for them. As a soon to be mom and dad of 3 girls, we know how important it is to instill the many lessons in this book.

   Important message for children
Simply read a book for kids. My son and daughter love reading this book. It's a great idea for young kids to know who they are. The message in this book is one that I can support. Highly recommend.

Great book for a young girl.
I bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter because I wanted her to know that she can do anything she wants.

   LOVE IT!
I bought two more for my friends daughters because I loved it so much. The message that girls need to hear is great.

Like the Idea but fell short
Tims wife is writing a review. If you like the book, you should buy this. The book was thoughtful and imaginative. The book had some good moments, but as a mom of a smart little girl, I was not impressed. Some of the things it discussed were superficial and not as interesting as the other book. I think there are better books for our daughters to read.
