Outstanding explanation of the depth and planning of the movement to the right
This should be mandatory reading for anyone interested in saving our democracy, as envisioned by our founders. The War on the Right, financed by the Koch Brothers and ruled by Buchanan from the Academic World is a well documented history.

   Couldn't get enough
I thought this a phenomenal read, providing an excellent historical context that brought us to where we are currently in our democracy. I highly recommend ''.

A riveting history of the Radical Right
This book is a must read for any thinking American citizen. It is a deep scuban history of the post-civil war right, from deep war reconstruction to the present. It illuminates their objectives and methodology in objective and hair-raising detail.

   Excellent
This book needs to be read by all who values democracy and its continued existence in the United States.

Biased and not worth reading. Can tell the author is a left wing loon.
Can tell her agenda immediately. She hated that Hillary lost and is trying to convince the world that the right wing is a demented and demonic group that wants to ruin the US, when all one has to see is the democrat debates to see who wants to bankrupt the United States and turn it into a socialist entity.

   Need to Read
This is an amazing book, written with passion by an author who takes you from discovery after discovery detailing what the true shapers of our capitalist system had in mind to benefit the few and how they stayed strong to their beliefs, painstakingly building the system that would serve the few bricks by brick.

   Must read
If you are reading the reviews, you have some idea of what the book covers. Don 't pay attention to the politically motivated reviews that slash it down. Just read it for yourself, which is what they don 't want you to do. It will change your framework for, what you think is the battleground in America today.

   Very disturbing & depressing
Based on the assumption that there are takers and makers in the world, and the makers are hard pressed by progressive taxation, regulations, public education costs, EEO laws etc. which affect their libertarian plans because of the majority rule of the takers. This necessitates subterfuge, voter suppression, intellectual lies, etc., very successfully sponsored by the Koch billionaires for the last 40 years. After each chapter, the stench had to take a break to let the dissipation begin.

WE ALL SHOULD BE WATCHING THE KOCH BROTHERS
This book received my five stars because it backs the real challenge we have in this country with facts and data. Like the chains that have kept slavery in this country for nearly 100 years, MacLean's research shows the power of certain billioniaires and how they plan to change our democracy. Anyone who cares about America should study this book and get the facts.

   READ THIS BOOK, PLEASE
If you read only one book, read this one. If we are all aware, we may be headed towards a total oligarchy if Koch and the Libertarians have done the job they have been working on for many years, using billions of Koch's dollars to finance it. Then they took over the Republican Party. They intend to establish a class of themselves who will unlock us all with no key to control what controls they locked into our Constitution. This special list of lawyers, whom the President looks for his nomination for SCOTUS, has been cultivated by this group.
