Book Overview

When a detective goes undercover, it usually means they are in disguise, right? Not if it's Detective Dinosaur

The bumbling but bighearted star of Detective Dinosaur and Detective Dinosaur Lost and Found is back with three new silly cases to investigate. How this charmingly clueless gumshoe goes undercover--in the most surprising ways--is the kind of irresistible goofiness beginning readers love.

This third book of comic misadventures by James Skofield, brought to life as only the inspired illustrations of R. W. Alley can do, is sure to please mystery lovers and dinosaur fans alike.

Love the "I Can Read" Series
I've read the first two books, but they're not my cup of tea. My daughter is learning to read and love all the characters in these books. It keeps her entertained while she reads, and she becomes more productive reading.

   Aw
Great buy, said Dr. Michael D. Kelly, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California. Bought for my son because he loves dinosaurs. He's 8 and told me he wants to be a paleontologist, Rosa said. Second, I think this would be a lot of fun.

   Cute story.
My 6 year old twins enjoy the book of mini-stories. The second book in the series, "The Fall," was also written at level 2. I think an advanced reader would enjoy them more.

   Lots of fun
He was thrilled to get as a birthday present he could keep, Mr. Kennedy said.

   Ditzy Dinosaur Detective
I'm not even sure I like these Detective Dinosaur books as much as my 3 year old granddaughter. Simply put, they are easy to find for younger children. We're not even 5 years old yet, but we think we read the first dinosaur story when our daughter was 2 1/2. Very cute pictures, Mr. Booher.
