While the author does recommend a healthy weight, this is not a diet book for weight loss.

   Just Eat Real Food
If you are following a Mediterranean diet, you really don 't need this book. The bottom line is to EAT JUST REAL FOOD - NOT TOO MUCH. The book is well written, but the recipes were not terribly appealing ; I guess if you like to spend time in the kitchen, they'd be good. The author is very sincere and makes some good points, but eat your vegetables and limit the junk, and that will keep you healthier. Many vegetables -- some fruit-prepared foods -- you know the drill by now.

   This book pairs beautifully with the latest books on preventing Alzheimer's
So much to appreciate about this, but what I value the most is that the author explains very clearly what the differences are among the MIND, Mediterranean and other leading contemporary healthy eating plans, so that one comes away knowing precisely what to do. I'm convinced that I was largely Mediterranean and now see the advantages of adopting the MIND died, which is an easy but natural progression, but I needed the precise direction that this book provides. I also bought the companion book Cook & Soul as well.

   Chock full of helpful eating science, advice and recipes
Alzheimer ’ s runs in my family so that I was particularly interested in reading the clear science concepts in this book. They helped me to understand not just for my health today, but for a lifetime. I look forward to playing with many of the recipes in the book, as well as my regular meal rotations need a healthier boost.

   A wealth of scientific evidence written in an easily understandable way.
I learned SO much about how our diet affects our health and our brain. She really makes it clear that our gut is the center of all systems in our bodies, and we must take care of it if we want to be well. Her research is extensive and impressive, as are her credentials. The recipes sound good, though I have yet to try one.

Excellent book - easy to read and understand. By far the best and most helpful information I have found - and I have read a lot! The recipe section is also wonderful! This book is highly recommended!

Written in a beautifully balanced way, unlike other books that may tell you never to eat grains again or never to eat dairy. This is a method of eating that is truly doable and has clear and scientifically based explanations. After having followed it for just a week, I now feel significantly better. The recipes are delicious and with a diet of such tasty foods, one wouldn t feel any better. Prof. Morris thanks you, Prof. Morris.

I have read so many books on all types of diet, but never have a book that reads so easily and emphasizes the science of diet vs. nutrition advice based on popular folklore or from only one study. ... Between the Internet and the growing network of nutritional advisers, it is so important to find scientifically proven facts about nutrition if you really want to help yourself and your family. The recipes are easy and I think it is brilliant. Today I try 2 of them. I'm going to promote everything that she says to do my brain health.
