This is a funny and clever book that any kid will like
This is a funny and wise book that will appeal to any kid. It makes me and my son laugh loudly, especially with the play on words that sound alike and yet mean different things. Who knew that learning to read could be so fun?

   Fun book for emerging readers
This is a very cute, interesting book that kept my twin five-year-old boys fully entertained. The book is an excellent introduction to a chapter book, while still featuring many illustrations to keep younger readers amused.

   Falls apart easily
The book falls literally apart. Binding was badly done. Quality control issues : My children are so very gentle readers. We don 't destroy books, so that is sad for them. I thought I could tape the first page that fell out, but now I tap the pages daily. The book is good though.

Haggis and Tank Are At iI Again!
Another winner of the Haggis and Tank was Tank. I am so glad that Ms. Young continues to add to this series. Most of the children I know seem to identify Haggis and Tank and relate to them. The illustrations are appealing and the content is definitely of high interest to new readers. If you know a dinosaur lover who is just beginning the journey of becoming a full fledge reader, this book should be especially enticing. The child I gave this to is truly a very beginning reader, but the lure of content spurred him to be able to decode every word in just a few readings. The illustrations and plot support context clues, which is a huge help. I find Scholastic books to be sometimes inconsistent in their appeal to students, but the books I read in this series seem to be consistent winners at least so far.
