My 7 year old grandson loves these books as it has a comic book feel, he enjoys the jokes and he keeps asking for them, some he has read at the school library.

Superb for kids!

This is an outlet for campers who need some time to themselves, and I am the camp director. It has done a lot more. These books are silly and childish. It's a good way to connect with kids about something they're interested in. The books can address some topics that will prompt questions or discussions. One book talked about a grandpa cat going to jail for tricking his grandson and son. A person talked about a drug that is hype. A person talked about leaving people behind. It's a good warning to be prepared to discuss these topics or have a ready-made answer. Kids love them.

The series was great for boys. A level of humor that gets them interested in reading is perfect. My son doesn't like reading but he knows the release date of every book and is excited about the new one coming out.

I bought these books for my son because I was excited to get them for Christmas and they were 5 star books. I was appalled by the poor language and poor spelling. Talk about dumbing down our children. This household does not allow calling someone dumb, poopy and stupid. I bought the whole series, not just this book. These books are not recommended by me. They're terrible and a waste of money. The Dan Gutman Weird School books have the same poor content as these. Don't forget to stick with classics. These books are terrible.

The 8 year old grandson loved this book. The Dog Man series is currently out. He keeps a record of when the new books come out and wants to have them all on his calendar. A lot of his classmates love these books.

My Son's favorite book

The series is a huge hit in our home. We gave this one to our son as a Christmas gift and he reads it every night. He finishes it and then starts over. It encourages him to read. He wants to read about what happens to family and friends when they have a bad day. He stays up too late in his room reading and laughing.
