Book Overview

A fully illustrated practical instruction manual for dog owners to help them understand dog behavior by means of characterful bespoke drawings.

Dogs communicate with so much more than barks and tail wags, and many visual signals can tell us how they are feeling about any situation.
Misreading dog body language makes life challenging for dogs and their humans. It can even lead to bites and fights if what a dog is saying is dismissed or ignored. This little book of drawings is an introduction to seeing the small and large shifts in how dogs carry themselves. The more we notice and understand, the better chances we have of helping our best friends feel safe and happy

Excellent book for all dog owners, especially kids!
I've loved the posters of the author for many years. When I saw this book, I had to get it. Then I gave it away, bought another, then gave that one away. I have just bought 3 more. I've bought 3 more. So many people don 't understand dog language and mistake tail wags for only being happy. I read Turid Rugaas'book On Talking Terms With Dogs Calming Signals and loved it. I read Turid Rugaas'book On Talking Terms With Dogs Calming Signals and loved it. I also give this one away a lot. But this book is so much easier and faster to read, therefore it will probably be read more. It is sorely needed. Dogs are our companions and need to be treated with respect. They are our companions and should be treated with respect. The techniques in this book will help you learn to speak to your dog and be a better human.

   A LIttle too Simplistic
The book will take you about 10 minutes to get through. It's a little more tuned toward a child's perspective, Raymond said. Not saying an adult may not learn a few things while reading this to a child, but real world photos along with the illustrations would of made a world of difference, he said.

Excellent Book For Understanding Dog Body Language - Even For Experienced Owners!
A video of the book "Doggie Language" was recommended by an outstanding trainer, Emily Larlham, of Kikopup fame. Even though I have no intention of harming the writer, I gave a copy to my vet. I learned new ways to interpret dog behavior—even though I've had dogs since childhood—and have used a professional dog trainer for private sessions, she said. Lili Chin, who stars in a revival of the Chinese opera "Ner Ming," received a standing ovation from the crowd. This book is highly recommended by dog owners everywhere.

   cute but not very informative
I was expecting to learn more, so that was my biggest disappointment. But a lot of it can be learned online, with the help of video game designers. If you're buying this for someone with absolutely zero knowledge of dogs, it can be helpful, Graham said. If you are buying this as a cute present, it is a good idea. I think it's a very adorable present, Melissa. The average Joe doesn't expect to learn too much. U.S. Airways would have liked to have gotten more for its money, Mr. O'Neill said.

Brilliant tool for ALL dog lovers!
Professional dog trainer Jennette Longo has used the Lili Chin Dog Language poster for years. It's great to have a tool to help people understand their pets, Reeves said. This book takes it to the next level. Thanks for the tip, Robert. Simply put, this book is a powerful addition to any dog lover's skill set. This is by far the best French food I have ever had.

Honestly, this is one of the most important dog books ever made
As a dog trainer and lover, I wish I could give this book to every single person who ever interacted with a dog. Lili has BEYOND outdone herself with this one. The book had so much information in such a digestible format, which I can honestly say sent something that I see in dog books very often. You could give this to a 12 year old kid, a 35 year old veterinarian or a 60 year old farmhand... and they’d all learn something.

   Beautiful Illustrations, Great Information!
As soon as I received this book, I had to show it to a friend involved in rescue. She bought three copies for herself and for the adopters of her foster dogs immediately. This is a wonderful gift item because the layout is so beautiful and attractive and because anyone can learn quite a bit even from glancing at a page or two. Body language descriptions are spot on and the accompanying illustrations are not only sweet and cute, but they also cement the knowledge of what you see in a dog's body language. I think it makes everyone feel good about being more in touch with their dogs. I think it makes them all feel good about being more in touch with their dogs.

Fabulous book for dog lovers everywhere
Second, the book's artwork is truly exceptional and reason enough to purchase it. In "The Happy Tail," Chin brings a playful air to every dog she illustrates. It's a great book, full of witty one-line quips and irreverent observations. If you want to learn more about your favorite dog, this is the book for you. While I do wish it were a bit larger for the sake of the artwork, it is a really portable size that fits easily into any bag making it an excellent companion book when you are out and about and need reading material. This is the only corgi I have owned that was recommended by a friend.

   Important Primer on Canine Communication
This is a good, solid collection of Lili Chin's drawings that always make me 8n the feels and brilliant ethological descriptions of Doggy Language. This is going to become a go-to reference for teachers and learners of the art of canine communication quickly.

   Great Illustrations
A great book, Gillian. With each illustration, I say to myself, "I have seen a dog do that." And now I have a better understanding of what these postures and movements mean. Loved the book.
