Not as scary as the first one, but just as much fun!

I liked this one better than the first. It distracted her and provided much needed entertainment and laughs. It does say silly and other such words a lot, which were easy to read while reading aloud, but I might think twice about letting my child read it by herself.

Relief from Formulaic Kids Books about Magic Fairies/Puppies/Mermaids
Derived From Web , May 23, 2022
This is a funny and well-written story that appeals to girls of many ages. My six-year-old asked me to read this book to her at least 3 times, and we love laughing together as we do. We give it as a gift for all her classmates'birthdays and we have created a big Dory fan group in her class. This book is such a welcome relief from the formulaic series on magic fairiescatsponies! Great characters, humor and just enough adorable drawings... My daughter's favorite book, hands down.

I am glad I ready through this!

I read these books to my children and found myself heavily verbally editing so many words that I do not want them to learn, impolitenesses and other subtle cultural norms and ideas that I am actively trying to steer them away from! My children are older, but I would not want them to read these when they are young. For children under 5, try Mia Mayhem series, Magnificent Makers Series, Magic Treehouse Series or other books!

My favorite story line of the 5 year olds! About a big girl with a cute imagination. Be prepared to have several conversations with a chicken just by using a banana as a phone.

Good as the first.

My daughter has wanted to read this book for months. I hate ordering online, but this isn t available in stores anywhere in town. If you're child loved the first one, they 'll also love this one. Just the last night she referenced the book and reminded me that we needed the next one! The only downfall for us is that it is below her reading level, so she finished in a day!
