They melt every ice cream cone within a mile radius, and everyone is afraid of them. But really, it's the dragons who should be afraid of Gilbert and his tremendous goblin power .right? The recommended reading level for Dragons Are The Worst! is Preschool through 3rd Grade .

Not as good as unicorns are the worst

*** Spoilers*** I wanted to love this book because my preschoolers love Unicorns are the Worst. I thought that this book would pick up where the last ended and that the plot would be along the same lines, but is not. In the first book, the Goblin is a little jealous of all the attention that unicorns get, but comes to see their good qualities and end up as friends. In Dragons... he just wants people to think that he is scary, like they think that dragons are. He doesn 't get to know or understand the dragons better. He runs around yelling FEAR ME '' just likes. There are a few Dragon Poop jokes that got a giggle or two, but mostly the book ended in children asking questions about why the Goblin would want people to be scared of him and why the Goblin would think that being scary to people is a good thing. Unicorns... remains a favorite, but we won 't read Dragons... again.
