Got this for my grandson, who is now really into dragons! We went to dinner for Tacos and we read the book together! He even picks it to be read again at bedtime, when he sleeps over.

   A fun children's book
This was a Christmas present for my 5-year-old grandson. He also enjoyed it, and all the adults who were included in reading it to him thought it was fun. I would recommend it definitely.

   Terrible!
I would never have bought this book if I had read it first. Early to give it to my granddaughter instead of waiting for Christmas, unfortunately it was six days past the allowable return date. Dragons, apparently, hate spicy salsa, which is one of the few things that our picky eater loves. If that isn 't bad enough, there is no wording that states that the dragons have burned the house, only pictures of this part. What a horrifying event to include in a children's book! It now goes into the recycle bin.

   Heads up to vegetarian families
The story is pretty creative, but the illustrations are nice and the idea behind the story is boring. On the first page, however, it calls out beef and chicken tacos. We are vegetarian, so that for me was a bummer. There are so many other types of tacos in the world that part could easily have been made more general.

   Such a great book for beginning readers!
This is my son's favorite book to read. I use this book to convince him to read other books. It is a very funny story that is fun to read. This is a winner at our home. Pictures are interesting and it takes your imagination to the next level.

My 5 year old read this book in class and somehow ended up being one of the two books we received from our Amazon Book Subscription. He was so excited about it. This book is often read in this household.

   Kids love it
Some parents don 't “ get it ”. It does not rhyme, it is broken sentences, it is a little disjointed in the flow of the story, but is also more conversational and allows for a lot more expression than other books. I gave it as a gift and was a slam dunk. If the reader is into it, it is super fun.

   My son wants you to know he loves this book
This is his review. He is 6 and he loves the story before bed. Just so you know he does not like tacos. I love this book and also my favorite part is that the dog and human are like are we going to make it when the dragons are breathing fire? Tacos like the measurements of the tacos, and their favorite measurement is when they fill the pants with tacos. He says that is hilarious. We are going to order the sequel to this book and we hope it is just as funny.

   Does Not Need to Use "Hate" in the Book
I definitely did not like this book for my three-year-old great grandson. Bought based on the overall rating, but wish I had read the low reviews to see what people did not like about the book. The book uses the word hate to describe what the dragon does not like in his tacos. Using does not seem appropriate, especially when reading this book to small children. While I have nothing against any gender choice, I do have an issue with the dedication to my sister, Bruce. Hard to explain for the young audience what this book is intended for. There was nothing else to the story other than what the dragon does and does not like in his tacos. Don 't waste your money on a different book.

   Meh...
My 5 yo liked it. My 5 yo liked it. I thought it was pretty boring '', I thought it was just boring. So, they shouldn 't eat the salsa... I get it. Meh's meh. is meh. Kiddo liked it only bc the kiddo liked it and i suppose that's the point. Id personally give it 2 for the illustrations only if Id personally give it 2.
