Vaguely recalling the Big Giant Head '', DUMPTY is a wonderful little book of a delightfully big humor. It proves that you have assimilated well into our culture. Prosper and live long!

Very cleverly drawn and written

For years, I have been a fan of John Lithgow, only recently becoming aware of his artistic and writing talents. I think that what I enjoy most about this slim book is that the author has taken inspiration from some classic poems and prose and adapted for satire... very entertaining while sadly right on the mark.

Very funny!

My husband watched John Lithgow on a talk show about his book and asked for it for Christmas. He started reading it immediately when he unwrapped it and was a belly laugh after another. I highly recommend this book for anyone who appreciates satire, blended with a boatload of truth.

Woke but not Awake!
Derived From Web , Nov 14, 2019
Disagreed with the humor of the book, it is childish. The irony is the mind blowing. In a film, John gets paid boat loads of money pretending to be someone, although when he is not on the set, he ACTUALLY believes what he sees on TV by fellow scripted actors as if it is actual real life. She thought that the A-team of the 1980s was actually real life. She said that she wouldn 't put it on TV if it was not real. For the love of God John, make decisions based on your personal experiences, not what you hear from others. It was a democrat who thought Guam could capsize and the world was to end 6 times in my lifetime by climate change. Here I am, yet I am shaking and listening my head. You might be AWAKE, but you are definitely not WOKE.

Extremely funny book. It would make a great gift.

Book is extremely funny and smart. I often reread it. I had no idea that John Lithgow was an artist himself. The illustrations are a great companion for the poems. What can John Lithgow do?

Don't waste you money

It ridicules one of our greatest presidents in our time. It is one sided and Lithgow is definitely not an author.
