   Glued Not Sewn
When you pay Pick Bucks for a hardcover, you expect quality, at this price the book should have a sewn binding, it is not glued. The story is pricey, but this is 4 comics in a glued hardcover, too enjoyable for what it is.

Not Volume 2 of Dune: The graphic novel
This was volume 2 of the Dune graphic novel. Instead, it is volume two of a prequel by Brian Herbert. My mistake was not reading the description text.

Book 2 is as good as book 1
Basically, the same review as my book 1 review. I am usually very skeptical when it comes to comic or popular novel versions of graphic films, books or tv shows. They usually miss the mark completely, not this one. If you are a fan of Dune, you should enjoy it. It's a good prequel and falls in line with the writing and the original Dune. The only bad thing is that the book consists only 4 comics - books, so it is a little short. You can read easily in a sitting, but it's a good read. Book 2 is equally good as Book 1.

   Effective graphic storytelling.
Gave was my adolescent nephew's gift to explore the pre- Dune universe. I am an avid fan of Dune's novels. Frank Herbert's son and his colleague have read most of the novels by Charles'; s son. They enjoyed them immensely and so far the graphic novels have been true to the novel. It is always a challenge to move from one medium to another.

An exciting continuation of the tale of House Atreides
A remarkable second volume celebrating the history of the House of Atreides. Details in the face of all characters let us understand their deeper motivations, desires and fears. The story line is intricate and elegant, matched by the detail and color of the artwork. Can 't wait in this series for the next volume.
