Not only beautiful art work, but...
Not only beautiful work, but also an engaging history of DandD, Turner said. Bonus: The movie is rated PG-13. It's just that hard to put down. Great job, said Dr. Chester Floyd, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California.
   Great Book, Bad Shipping!
If you've played Dungeons and Dragons, you're bound to love this book. The quality of the book is overshadowed by the carelessness of the shipping company. I was hesitant to order one because other reviewers had commented on their books arriving dented and scratched, but I decided to roll the dice and see if my luck was any better. It was a non-starter, the Web site said. The cover was so dull and the corners so crushed, it looked like somebody had dragged it across the carpet.
   Beautifully illustrated
It's great to see the finished product, said Constable Robert Hein, "especially the artwork throughout the entire book." There are also some very interesting and useful information and tidbits of information in this book. Overall, a great buy, said Dr. Julie Gerberding of the University of Michigan Health System. A free beer for two people was also offered at the time.
Must have for all D&D gamers
For DandD fans who want to know the history of the game that inspired every other RPG game since its inception, this book is for you.
   Highly Recommend!
Over the years I have met many of the artists and this is a great book to honor all the memories and art they have done, Raymond said. There are some great stories of the TSR days as well as some mind blowing artwork.
   Great history and art work
It's the history of DandD, plus tons of great art work, it's all there. It takes me back to my child hood, and at the great price on Amazon, I totally recommend this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's great to be back home, said Blair.
   A Beautiful Book
The book includes over 100 images of ancient Egyptian ruins, ancient ruins, and the history of the world's most popular Role Playing Game.
I like the way it was done, Lib. It's a fun look at the past when DandD was something special, Crosby said. Less than half the cost of a book in the bookstore.
Do not purchase the kindle version
I had seen this book at Target and decided to pick it up so I could read it on my iPad Pro. It's a huge leap forward from the original book, which was originally written in the format of a PDF. Amazon's kindle edition differs from the printed book by a few pages, but retains the same formatting. The team then moves all the text, images and even handwritten notes into the correct order. After the second book, I went back to Target and bought a physical copy. Now I can read it as the designers intended it rather than some sort of alternate format. The book itself is a wonderful read, even if the cover didn't quite measure up to Austen's. If you're not a book worm, I highly recommend grabbing the physical edition.
Love the book but came damaged
This is a lovely book and I'm really glad I got it, but when I got it the gold lettering on the cover was scraped of and the corner was dented. The box as a little bit banged up which might explain the dent, but it was not damaged to the extent that I could see how the gold came off, Mr. Caramore said. We get no complaints, Mr. Goin said. Still, he said, "There is a concern about the consistency of the product."
