and easy enough for my pre-K students to understand
Derived From Web , Apr 22, 2022
After our second unit returned to Earth Day, we did it again in April. There are, of course, some Todd Parr books I absolutely adore. His messages are spot on, and his students will understand them well. They find the list of 10 things to do hilarious, especially putting underwear in the freezer, and it always makes us all laugh!

Smash hit with preschool & kindergarten kids!
Derived From Web , Apr 22, 2022
A great book by popular children's author Todd Parr. His unique style of colorful illustrations and simple text are a smash hit with preschool and kindergarten audiences everywhere. Each page highlights one way young children can help make the world a better place. Adding to the book's power, is that statement itself. It's not just telling kids to do something, but also giving them the reasons why it's important. The more meaningful the experience becomes, the more it becomes. He also has a great sense of humor and knows his audience well, evidenced by the mention of panties in the detachable poster that is included on the last page of the book. The Earth Book is sure to become a favorite with your child or class as they squeal with delight at the very thought of putting their panties in the fridge!

Cute illustrations and colors, but poor content
Derived From Web , Apr 23, 2021
My kids loved the illustrations and the vibrant colors of the book, but the content wasn't that great. It isn't just to this earth book, but in general, why are we teaching our children that "cleaning up trash" helps the planet, Tunick said. We should be teaching them to produce less waste and use less materials, he said. What do you do with all that garbage that comes with it? Still waiting for a book that has actual useful information for children.

100% recycled paper
Derived From Web , Feb 15, 2021
It's just that it's hard to find recycled paper books. There are a few that can be found, but the list drops off. If I had to pick one product, I would like that product to have already done it. This book is colorful and lively, our two-year-old likes it.

Put my underwear in freezer when it's hot!
Derived From Web , Dec 28, 2018
It's great to have your 4 year old read it with me. He loved it, said Blair. Only I could explain to him why the book says that you can help the Earth by putting your panties in the freezer when it's hot. I still can't figure this one out!!!!!!!!! Overall, I'd recommend this book to anyone.

Oh how I love this book
Derived From Web , Jul 1, 2017
I absolutely love this book. It's not too far to the hippie side or to the first world priveledge side." It's right in the middle, perfect for kids, telling them to be good stewards of their environment, even in small and big ways. The pictures are interesting and my kids were reading them to me afterward.

if you're particular like me you might care
Derived From Web , Apr 24, 2017
What a difference a year makes? I have a few small bones to pick, if you're particularly special like me, I don't think that's an awfully healthy way to look at food. It says to save your leftovers. We'll focus on that part when we read it. 2) I wish that the bit about water conservation had a justification that was a little more direct- saving water is not really about keeping the ocean blue, Mr. Dhaliwal said. Everything else seems to be much more directly connected, and I feel the author could have done a little bit better on that one, too, he said. It does an excellent job of helping kids realize they can do a lot to help take care of the earth, and my son LOVES the pictures, said Jennette Tamayo.
