Learn how to stop policing and pleading and become the parent you want to be.

You love your children, but if you're like most parents, you don't always love their behavior. But how can you guide them without resorting to less-than-optimal behavior yourself? Dr. Becky Bailey's unusual and powerful approach to parenting has made thousands of families happier and healthier.

Focusing on self-control and confidence-building for both parent and child, Dr. Bailey teaches a series of linked skills to help families move from turmoil to tranquility:

7 Powers for Self-Control to help parents model the behavior they want their kids to follow. These lead to:

7 Basic Discipline Skills to help children manage sticky situations at home and a t school, which will help your children develop:

7 Values for Living, such as integrity, respect, compassion, responsibility, and more.

Dr. Bailey integrates these principles in a seven-week program that gets families off to a good start, offering plenty of real-life anecdotes that illustrate her methods at work. With this inspiring and practical book in hand, you'll find new ways of understanding and improving children's behavior, as well as your own.

Perfect assessment. How to use one tool 50 different ways!
I've had great reviews of this book, too. As a teacher who now is a parent, I can't help but think the very beginning came across as condescending. I knew her advice was common sense, Mr. Rule told the judge. Yes, I was patient. It's not your average self-help book making you think you'll be better if you only bought or said 'yes' to everything. Tools can be maximized with useage, he said. What's more, knowing how one tool can do 50 different things is worth reading.
   I love this book
I've read all the books, and I love this one. It addressed the language that I used with my son right on the spot and it gave concrete examples of what I need to improve on, Mrs. Ridgeway said. Changing my language with my son has made him a new person and brought back lots of joy in our relationship, Raymond said. It was the right book for our family to give the right words of love, Mrs Clinton said. Thanks again for doing an awesome job helping parents, Ann. Turner said he wanted to thank God that the deal was completed before his birthday next month.
Everything Bailey suggests/explains seems like common sense to me that I was unable to ...
Only a few of the book's pages have been read, but I'm loving it. Everything suggests that Bailey was right, Ms. Shelby said.
   Excellent read
Strong Financial released a book titled "Concrete Self Discipline" by Dave Sapp. I plan to read it again and do all the exercises.
less chaos, more quiet in our home
The book helped us to realign our mission as parents. I apply many of the lessons to other aspects of life, he said. The Harrisons are taking the time to enjoy the moment and move on. Our son is much more at peace, said Goodrich. Thanks for the donation. Happy Mother's Day!
Whether or not your child has special needs or behavioral ...
Whether your child has special needs or behavioral challenges, Bailey's book is a worthy read.
I am a professional nanny with over 20 years experience and I am also a mother. I have read so many parenting books through nanny school, my 2 yr vocational program, and for fun, and this is by far one of the best books I have read. There have only been a few that really stood out and were books that I knew I wanted to own, he said. I also suggest to all my families that have been in my family daycare to read this one. I recommend this book to anyone.
A lot of good points in this book
A lot of good points, too. It was an eye opener for me, but it takes a lot of effort to actually put the tips in the book into practice when you have or work with out of control kids.
   I've bought duplicates for friends!
I checked this book out several times from our local library, but decided to buy a copy for myself when the renewal limit had expired. Yes, I consider it my parenting bible. It's great to have someone recommend it to friends and even purchase it for themselves.
   Parent Well With This Book!!
Packed with useful tips and tricks, this book will have you and your kids using everything from potties to laundry detergent. If you have a child from a difficult place, I can't recommend this book enough. Thanks, Marissa, for the part about usable information. Giving them useful information can help them react to the situation differently, he said. It works well with the bullet training, so just try it out in your brain. Next time a similar situation arises, they'll be more likely to respond well because you had given them usable information and practiced it with them, Dr. Goin added.
