Great book for children that like to draw

Then I found this book with great reviews and bought it for her. The same day she arrived, she spent the whole afternoon following the lessons and sketches on the book. The next day she received more advanced drawing books from the library. This book has been instrumental in bringing back the passion of drawing back into her life. It is designed for beginners and is suitable for young age.

Good way to start!
Derived From Web , May 12, 2022
I bought this for my 5 year old who likes to draw, but gets frustrated because he doesn 't know how to make things look the way he wants. We did a few animals together and he gets the idea. I am no artist, but even I can follow the steps and have my drawings looking like an animal.

Really, just buy it. Your child will love you for it.
Derived From Web , May 12, 2022
Whenever a children's book survives for decades after its debut, it has a certain magic. That it is a drawing book with little text is all the more remarkable. I'm now in my 50s, and I remember borrowing this book from the library and spending hours going through its many drawing examples. Building animals of simple shapes that any child can draw is part of the appeal. Author Emberley teaches in such a way that even the most stylized can draw dexterity-challenged animals. Today, few books for children are an insta-buy. And if you want it to pass to others, the durable library binding is the way to go and well worth the slight added cost.

A great find!

This was for my roommate, who had the book as a child, but suffered damage over the years. She was so sure that it could not be found in print form anymore. At first, she was concerned because it has been formatted differently from the original release. But after close examination, it is the exact same book, just in an updated version. Personally, I recommend getting the paperback version, as it makes it easier to lay flat for art projects. She now wants the rest of the books. I guess I have her birthday gift already planned for years to come.

Drawing Animals for kids ages 6-99!
Derived From Web , Nov 29, 2021
My Co-Worker art teacher gave me this book 40 years ago! I loved it, and used it to draw the adorable animals for children. Normally I can not draw animals, so this was perfect! A few years later, I bought it for our grandchildren for Christmas... it will be the perfect gift for them, as they love to draw. Ed E. gives one confidence to be able to show all the animals he produces in his book! Now I drew most of them and also sent them in little cards to the children! Thank you so much!

Easy enough for my 5 year old
Derived From Web , May 11, 2021
The instructions are so clear and simple that my five-year-old can follow along. If your child can make basic shapes and follow the instructions, they may be ready to try this. The instructions are all in pictures, so there is no need to read. It also includes some zany variations, which are fun to try.

Great resource for learning basic shapes of animals!
Derived From Web , Mar 8, 2021
This book was used in a drawing class for children's literature that I took, and I can see why this book is required in the course. It helps a person understand the various shapes that make up the foundation for drawing basic animals. When you start to think about the basic shapes of each animal, it becomes easier to draw and more fun to draw.
