So Emily dives into action and joins the younger son's crew in hopes of saving her boyfriend. But Emily is surprised to find herself not only enjoying the pirate life, but actually bonding with the crew -- especially Sam, the pirate king's son. My 7th grader to be 12 year old is in love with this series. She reads a book in a day. Definitely recommend it to any parent who has a girly girl in their household.

She told me about this book, which is usually a hint for me to get it for her. I bought it so for her and the rest of the series. She is a fast learner.

A bit different from the American version

She owns 7 in the American version, so I decided to try this version for her to give her exposure to different phrases and the way words are written so that it helps her reading comprehension as well as her vocabulary.

Eighth in the series…

... and worth reading, especially for a 8-12 year old girl. Not quite realistic enough for an adult, but I think appeals to a lot of girls and even some boys. Liz Kessler is a good book writer for children, nothing to fear here.
