The book that came had a different cover picture. ...
The book that came had a different cover photo. This book was for my daughter, and she had chosen the cover design specifically.
   Wonderful edition!
So many extras about history and essays about different themes in the book, all to honor the 200th anniversary.
   Hardly annotated
It contains very little new content that has been created. Besides a beautiful cover design, there is nothing to recommend this edition. Rather, read Emma Annotated Edition by Jane Austen, the Belknap Press of Harvard University Press.
Emma is a heroine whom Jane Austen thought no person but herself would like-boy was she wrong!
Emma Woodhouse : Rich and Handsome. She is a matchmaker for a stable and somewhat dull friend, but love comes into her life at the last when she marries the nave and somewhat dull Mr. Knightly. One is amazed at the strictures imposed by the Procrustean class system in Great Britain at that time and place on Emma and her friends. Jane Austen is a genius whose name will always rank high in the halls of the world and English literature. As a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America, I recommend reading this beautiful novel!
