Order Used & Received New 💕✨
Derived From Web , May 8, 2021
The media couldn't be loaded. I will be testing in the Fall of 2021. I received this as an e-book but I prefer a hard copy. After reading several reviews, I decided to buy this book used instead of new, but to my surprise when it arrived it was packaged in a clear bag with a sticker that said used. Like New. I was skeptical about getting a copy that had missing pages and sections. I used the reviews that said which pages were missing and cross referenced so far. I will be back to update my review once I understand the book better. I will update my review when I pass my exam.

Little Relevance
Derived From Web , Jul 21, 2020
I read the book in a row. The CD set that I listened to is also available. I passed the NCE on the first try. There were a few questions that were addressed in the book. A colleague of mine took the test and said the same thing. There were a number of questions regarding Freud's theory addressed in this book. The rest seemed unrelated. We had to check to make sure we were taking the correct test, as it seemed completely different from what we had prepared for. I would recommend looking at different materials. This was not worth anything.

I felt prepared despite not being able to say the questions were the same as the test.

Took NCE 7 Years After Graduating...
Derived From Web , Feb 20, 2019
I took the NCE for 7 years after graduating, and I would like to share my experience. I used the book as a main study tool. I studied for two months after passing my first try. The book was a good primer on many concepts, but forgot the details of the human development theories. I wish I started the book with the review first and then did the practice questions. You should download the app as well. I bought a second app through Pocket Prep that gave me access to more questions as well as online access. On the go, this was useful. Give yourself enough time to study. Knowing the answers and reading the rationale will allow you to answer similar questions on the test, even if the questions in this book are not the ones on the NCE. Good luck!

Buy from a rebutible source!

The book was not in chronological order. Some pages were not even attached. I missed an entire chapter. The Ethics chapter is taken out in one photo. A photo shows page 738, three blank pages and page 553. The page of the first chapter is not properly bound into the book.

Good book, but not helpful.
Derived From Web , Jun 25, 2018
Well written and easy to understand. I just took the NCE and most of the book was irrelevant. If you study statistics, be able to apply.
