She just wanted a coffee table book with beautiful pictures, but I got her this one because it is a gardening and plant care manual. Now she is obsessed with it and won't stop talking about it!

Great for all plant enthusiast and landscapers.

I am re landscaping and making flower gardens both cottage and Japanese. This book has many great planting ideas and instructions on bulbs, perennials and annuals. The authors of this book, illustrators from the Smithsonian Institution, did a great job making this a great read. It touches everything in the garden. Great investment and you will not waste time and money purchasing flowers you are not happy with, Sosa said.

Just plain wrong, skimpy and repetitive on plants
Derived From Web , Feb 15, 2021
When was Japanese anemone a native? Repeated use of same boring flowers, trees, shrubs, etc. from chapter to chapter, without exhibiting different varieties or pictures or descriptions. The book follows the format of "Good for clay," "shade garden" and "plants for wet areas." So if you go to chapter 3, you'll see the same pic and blurb in all three. So far my favourite garden planning book is the RHS encyclopedia of plants and flowers - just be sure to translate your zone to British hardiness rating.

Book has very attractive photos & useful information
Derived From Web , Nov 27, 2020
I should have waited for a New one. The one I received had several ugly large Oregon Community Library stamps and bar code stickers all over it, and it was covered in a cheap plastic cover that cannot be removed without tearing the attractive paper book jacket. The book content is very nice and has attractive photos, Morgenthau said.

Great book!

He said I recently got into gardening and was interested in finding plants for a clay foundation and plants that vary in sun exposure. Half of my yard gets full sun and about one-third of my yard is almost completely full-shade. The complete reference book for this difficult and popular subject is now available in bookstores nationwide.

MUST HAVE IN YOUR GARDENING LIBRARY
Derived From Web , Jan 28, 2020
This book is so well written, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's the book I was wishing someone would write. Even if you are just one of those people who has been waiting for that perfect spring day to plant your first succulent, you will finally understand why some of your brilliant gardening plans did not work out. But the two groups have different needs, the report says. I knew all of that before I bought the book, but there was nothing comprehensive, like this book, to point me in the right direction, he said.

"Very detailed for the Green Thumbs",!
Derived From Web , Jan 3, 2020
From novice to expert, this book is a must-have for anyone who loves gardening. It's in the top 20 of my go-to resource books. From there it goes on to discuss the different styles of gardening with pictures and explanations. It's great to have a book that lets you build your own scientific names for many of your favorite plants. Very easy to follow, said Dr. Joseph Malloch, co-author of the book. I absolutely love the book cover and the layout of the book. Green thumbs should have no problem finding the book useful. 3171616 3171606 This is a very serious matter, and we don't want to compromise, said Julie Mason, director of media and public affairs for the Postal Service.

Huge book
Derived From Web , Aug 29, 2018
I recommend this book to anyone. It's going to be a lot thicker than the foam, I think it could be 2 inches thick. It contains so much information, I'm surprised at the price. It's my sister's birthday today. The English star is just starting to garden and love it.
