Learn an instrument, increase your brain power.

Love this series, makes you really work on the basics through most of the book and then brings it all together in what is called The Performance Spotlights. I have been working through this with my teachers and after a year of instruction I am half way through the second book. Then get the book published, then find a teacher. The disk can provide a reference for tone and progress, but you will not learn as quickly as possible unless you have an experienced player educating you.

I love this because I hate dealing with dental floss. I can put listening in it and strengthen the gums while flossing water. It is also very gentle and doesn 't need to be electric, which is a great concept as well.

A great series!

This series of three books are excellent for adults who may have played Violin in the past and want a quick way to catch up and move well beyond their previous competence level. I touched a Violin for the first time 30+ years ago and only in the last position. The series goes from the real basics in book one to third, second and even fifth place by book three. Simple, but very practical and great fun.
