In creating Ethereal Visions Tarot Matt Hughes has drawn inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, adopting its distinctive style and meticulous approach to craftsmanship. The artist has also created two additional cards to supplement the traditional Major Arcana. Every detailed image in the 80-card deck is hand drawn and colored. Each card is illuminated with gold foil stamping, to elegant effect. Includes a 48-page booklet. Matt Hughes is a self-taught artist who focuses on the aesthetic approaches referred to today as The Golden Age of Illustration. His style combines inspiration from the Art Nouveau, Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist movements, to produce an artistic expression uniquely his own.

VERY DISAPPOINTED - RACIST DECK
Derived From Web , Dec 25, 2020
The gold foil on these cards is absolutely gorgeous. However, I have a serious problem with the fact that the card only depicted a person of color as the devil, and you should have a problem with that too regardless of your race or ethnicity. The other cards had images of white people, with the remainder featuring black people. This deck is highly problematic, and frankly racist, Raymond said. I intended to give these as a gift to my husband, but we are extremely disappointed with the extremely negative energy of these cards and will be retiring them.

A beautiful, soothing and pleasing deck
Derived From Web , Dec 8, 2020
Still, I find some of the work to be breathtaking. The card was already set when the fight card was announced. The cards are not flimsy or too stiff, and the finish is not overly slippery, he said. They are just right to work with and a joy to handle, Bruno said. I'm so glad I treated myself to this lovely deck.

Beautiful deck
Derived From Web , Sep 4, 2020
An absolutely stunning work of tarot card art. The card and box were in excellent condition, the buyer said. The booklet does not share much on the minor arcana, just a few key words, but that's not much of a problem for me, especially considering this deck is so beautiful, even more so than I had imagined. Also Bought the Tarot book, "The Order of the Phoenix." I'm especially stoked on this one. Thanks for the great customer service.

The Devil is the only POC
Derived From Web , Aug 13, 2020
It's beautiful, full of White peoplefigures. The one card has no color, but the Devil is. Yes, as many others have mentioned, the deck's imagery is beautiful, however there's also a single dark image. This is a great book, but I found this to be off by a few votes. Pauley, 34, said he was keeping the deck, but "it's just a fyi."

Cute and simplistic
Derived From Web , Jun 1, 2020
I haven't gotten to use them yet, so I will definitely update as I use them more and more. When I placed this order, I bought this deck and one other deck just in case I liked one more than the other, or wanted to try something different. As a first impression, the gold flake doesn't bother me at all, he said. The book that came with it is cute and just a little something to get started, but the other deck I purchased had a much nicer booklet that was put together like an actual mini book. These are really simplistic, tan and gold cards that I really enjoy. Will update once I bond with them and start doing some readings, I'm told.

I would’ve LOVED them but...
Derived From Web , Nov 26, 2019
These are truly stunning cards. Even more beautiful in person, the work is. However, I couldn't bond with them and there was terrible negative energy every time I used them. The first time I used and interviewed the deck, every card I pulled was reversed and expressed how terrible our relationship would be. They're not for everyone and that's okay. I would not want to keep a deck that wasn't for me. I had to return them, but I'm back to searching for a new deck.

pretty but not inclusive
Derived From Web , Nov 20, 2019
It's a wonderful deck, just like the other states. The rest of the deck is made up of mostly white people. I'm not sure whether this was an artistic choice, Tunick said. However, nouveau art features people of color as well, and this was produced in our modern time, So?

Arrived damaged
Derived From Web , Oct 9, 2019
The box looked like someone had smashed it with a hammer. Most of the damage was just to the box itself, and only a few cosmetic damage to a few cards, but jeez this must have been mistreated pretty hard to get up the box.
