Great review of truthful American history!
Derived From Web , Jan 21, 2021
This history book is a lot more accurate than most I have researched... It is NOT some rewritten liberal history, as a previous reviewer stated, its more truthful and I guess some Americans can't handle this right now. My children find the layout easy to understand and they retaining the knowledge that they learned. We are using this inconjunction with our homeschool curriculum as just a little more knowledge and background of our country's history. Very accurate! Very accurate! '' I bought this for my very advanced 8 year old, he is currently at 5th and 6th grade levels... would recommend for 5th graders through 9th graders.

Content very disappointing.
Derived From Web , Apr 3, 2020
Very disappointed with the content of the book, since the author decided to decide what is or is not a myth in our American history. A young reader will come away with the author's view and not the facts.

Less is more in this brief, but oh so informative, book.
Derived From Web , Sep 17, 2018
I adore this book! It has been 50 years since I took a class on American history, so that I really needed a refresher. And here are facts that were never covered in my big, fat textbook back then. The book lays it all concisely -- no additional fluff and in an almost conversational manner, which I like. I have ADD so that ADD is less forgiving for me. I keep the book in the bathroom TMI, I know, but a great place to read a few pages at a time. I also bought the World History version and can 't wait to be schooled on all I've forgotten over the years about the whole world. What a great idea! ''

An Awesome Book For Those Of Us Who Forgot Most of What We Learned In Middle School
Derived From Web , Mar 8, 2018
I really enjoyed this book, which I bought for myself because I had forgotten most of what I learned in middle and high school. I found myself unable to recall why some wars were fought, what the Industrial Revolution was about, etc. I went online to see if I could find a book to help me refresh my memory, and found this one. It has been everything that I wanted and more. I love the way it is presented - almost like real school notes - and how the author doesn 't overload us with too many details. The pages are fun and colorful. I love this book and have enjoyed refreshing my memory. I also plan to buy the science version of this book. This is a definite winner and I highly recommend it for students or adults like me, who have forgotten some of what they learned 30+ years ago.

Excellent Source for Homeschooling
Derived From Web , Jan 22, 2018
I use this to help me with the homeschooling of my son. It is so well-organized and written, and the questions at the end of each chapter are very useful in testing the understanding of a student of what he or she has just read. I would strongly recommend this book for anyone who is homeschooling.
