Bird's Eye View of the Lion's Den
Derived From Web , Apr 26, 2019
A brief summary of Daniel's book. But the parts between and the apocalyptical parts are often skipped. This commentary sets all that aside and does that Spurgeon required of all the pastors to make a beeline for the cross. In Daniel 7, we see Christ as the Son of Man or as the Fourth Man in the Fury. But Akin shows that Christ is present in every narrative and the assurance that comes with faith in Christ will be what helps us through impending doom and conflict. I do wish it went deeper, but an excellent job is done with the page numbers.

I have all the commentary currently available in this series, and I love them. This series of commentaries is less about technicalscholarly thinking and more about what Christ says through the text to me. It asks questions and requires me to think and really sit about my answers. I look forward to seeing more in this series.
