Seven clever stories answer one simple question: what's in the box?
Funny, fantastic, spooky, and suspenseful, each of these unique and beautifully illustrated short graphic works revolves around a central theme: a mysterious box and the marvels--or mayhem--inside. Artists include middle school favorites Kazu Kibuishi, Raina Telgemeier (Smile), and Dave Roman (Astronaut Academy), as well as Jason Caffoe, Stuart Livingston, Johane Matte, Rad Sechrist (all contributors to the groundbreaking comics anthology series Flight), and upcoming artist Emily Carroll.

STARED REVIEW
An outstanding out-of-the box anthology from renowned comics veteran Kibuishi. With eye-popping full-color art and palettes ranging from candy-colored to ethereal earth tones, this is both a visual feast for the eyes and a healthy helping of thought for the soul. Superb.

My 8 year old love graphic novels
She read it in a day. Great book for that kid who is a good reader, but doesn 't love to read, as much as Mom would want.

   Great Anthology
I started with the Amulet series and am now an enormous fan of Kibuishi's work. This book is an anthology of his materials and that of a bunch of his colleagues but is very good. The diversity between the different artists is a certain plus. Visually, everything is stunning.

   nothing but boxes
An excellent book that manages to relate to a box set every story. The stories are very mysterious gimmick... yet, the stories are very captivating. From the same author, who brought you AMULET, this book is another one of his greatest works. Recommendation highly recommended!

   My daughter loves these books!!!
My 8 year old daughter inhaled the Amulet series in a few days, so that this was a natural progression. She loved it as well and even I want to read it! The new book of the doors has already been preordered!

   Dont waste your money!!!!! GARBAGE!
First of all, I am an adult, and I bought this for my children. I read the other stories with this in mind... but... they just stink... all of them... it was okay to read, but not memorable... the artwork was just okay...I could have been more critical... worthless. I saw some of the short stories, but not memorable...I think they were too short. I saw some other negative reviews though. I thought they were overly harsh... just an odd. I thought they were worth sharing.
