Writing and illustrations complement each other

It was in a local yarn shop that I first saw it. In "Charlotte's Web," a little girl who, in the middle of winter, finds a box filled with yarn of every color, so she knits herself a sweater. She finished the project and brought it home to knit a sweater for her dog, Mars. She knits sweaters for just about everyone in town, except for Mr. Crabtree, who just didn't wear sweaters. The New York Yankees star received a hat instead of a plaque. And her extra yarn spread and a cheeky Archduke tried to buy Annabelle's box of yarn. She refused, saying she never received an offer like that. He hires a hitman to steal the box of yarn from her. The story ends well for Annabelle. The book is a great read, and the illustrations by Jon Klassen are as good as ever. The entire thing is a great read, even if you have no interest in math. It's an awesome bedtime story for all young children and parents alike.

A very sweet story with a good message

It was a present from my wife that day." I read it to my kids first and they all loved the story as it was funny, thought provoking, sweet and had a great message about money. It will make you want to knit something when you're done reading it. The story flowed quickly from page to page, and held a captive audience without any intermission, he said. Fun Book! Great Christmas Gift for Mother

My Mom is an avid knitter and crocheter. I think it's her time to self- nurture, to give back to others, she said. She loves to keep busy and her hands are mainly on knitting auto pilot when she can. I bought this book and several skeins of yarn and sent it to her in a large box for Christmas. I even crossed out names in the book and replaced them with names of family members and pets. It was a huge success, and she absolutely loved it. It was the best present ever, and it was so simple! It was epic because it really was all about Mom and her life-long love of yarn, Tunick said.

Might Be My New All Time Fave Children’s Book

Get it? If you think so, you won't regret it. This book has become one of my all time fave children's books. The story is week-developed and nuanced enough that kids can get different things out of it depending on the age. The message is great and the visuals are inviting and whimsical, too, Mr. Dhaliwal said. I would put it there with the Giant Jam Sandwich. It's a must have for fans of the Beatles.

I really wanted to like this book, Raymond said. But two things really bothered me: The phone call and the fact that I couldn't seem to get ahold of somebody. The main character teacher told her that her bright sweater was a distraction to her classmates and they couldn't concentrate. This directly teaches girls that they are at fault for their clothing distracting others from learning, it being their fault. Another one that bothered me was when the archduke got mad and cursed the little girl and her family.

Subtle Analogy of Unconditional Love?

I've read the entire book, and I'm in love. I found the book in a library while I was collecting books for an inner-city outreach project. In the story, a girl finds a box of yarn and works with her mother to knit a hat. But she discovers there is more yarn to not only cover and protect herself but everyone around her. Even with the hefty price tag, Niki never runs out of money. When God's unconditional love is given to someone, there is always enough of it. The more we share it, the more we discover, the more we give to ourselves. No one can steal that love, Lord Rayleigh said. This book is a great example of how illustrators can collaborate, as they always are with this illustrator. The scenes shift from dark and gloomy to colorful and cheerful as the story unfolds.
