Book Overview

Real-life cowboy Kent Rollins captivates fans from Branson, Missouri, to the Big Apple with his maverick cooking, country humor, and wisdom. In their heartfelt new book, Kent and Shannon Rollins invite everyone to sit a while at their table. Honey-Chipotle Chicken is hot off the grill. There's Cracklin' Cornbread in the skillet and Cool Cucumber Dill Salad from the garden. Save room for the Homemade Cherry Almond Ice Cream. But first, it's time for grace. Out here, there's no Wi-Fi--just family and friends.

The food is lively, but the recipes are relaxed. Kent's inspirational sayings, tales of the range, and cowboy poetry combined with Shannon's stunning photos and quotes from scripture capture faith, hope, and appreciation of life's blessings. So praise the Lord and pass the Cheddar-Jalape o Biscuits

   More great recipes
His second book is just as great as his first, showing not only the food but the cowboys and life around a chuckwagon.
   Classic Cowboy Kent
If you enjoy Cowboy Kent videos, you'll love his cookbook. Good folks, good cooking, good book, Mr. D'Antonio said.
   Great man gift
My Son-in-law reviewed this book at a Men's retreat. He's hunting with his buddy and wants one for him.
More pictures of the actual recipe
I love the wholesomeness of the recipes, Melissa said. The only gripe I have with the book is that most of the recipes do not have pictures. There are pictures throughout the book of range or cowboys, but they are all random pictures of range or cowboys. They are nice pictures, but I would like each recipe to have a picture of their first cookbook.
   Now THIS is a cookbook!
The second book was a bit more disappointing, I must admit. During this lock down and in dire need of some reading material, I ordered book number two of Kent's. This old man couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the lottery. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, said Barbara Comstock, executive vice president of marketing for AOL Europe. I'm a huge fan of the photography, the stories wonderfully presented and the selection of recipes couldn't be better! Whether you love cooking outdoors or not, this book will have you hooked. Michael H. Reichert, 47, was charged with killing 6-year-old Jazmine Hinds.
The first cookbook I have actually read!
In "A Knight's Life," Rollins reveals how he met his wife and how they fell in love. My husband likes to cook and he likes to read cookbooks, but I have never read one. He said he cried with some of the things that people shared about life, family, faith. One of the cookbooks I've read has brought me to tears. It's just great pictures, great writing, and great stories, too. Full course meals are defined as those meals that include all the trimmings. They are still very tasty, even with the tweaks. Thanks to Kent and Shannon, we got the job done. He also wrote, "Ranchers are not the only people who love the outdoors."
   Family Faith and Feast
Another cowboy-themed book from the Rollin's family. Pataki's photos are among the best of all time. Now we need to determine which recipes to try first. It's just that the book is called "The Blair Witch's Army." There are numerous bible quotes in this faith-based family production. He added that although Gillian is a good writer, the book's tone is positive. I'm not sure which book, first or this one, is better. Give them both 5 stars and they'll be up there with the Beatles.
   Fantastic book!!!
Kent and Shannon have a very good cookbook. They were really good friends, and I had their first book and thought it was my favorite. This is a must have companion to the first book, "A Taste of Cowboy." They also sell a line of spices. Great addition to any kitchen or chuck box. Kent and Shannon are "ace high" in my book.
   Equal to the first book
Indeed, I love every bit of this book. I must have to mess it up in my kitchen, Mr Hughes said. I didn't have it two hours and had to get it off the pages, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

What an amazing cookbook, filled with tasty recipes, wonderful pictures and sage advice from Kent and his wife, Shannon, writes Barbara.
