Book Overview

Train buffs and colorists will love adding their own hues to this fine fleet of luxury railway cars--from the elegant cars of Europe's Orient-Express, which catered to passenger comfort with deluxe dining and sleeping cars, to America's Super Chief that ran on a transcontinental route between Chicago and Los Angeles.
Thirty drawings depict the interiors and exteriors of such famous trains as the multicolored cars of the Hiawatha, a passenger line traveling between Chicago and Seattle; the observation lounge on the Burlington Zephyr; and a sleeping compartment on New York Central's famed 20th Century Limited.

   Nice colouring book
Nice color book. One of the corners was pretty beat when I received it. Unfortunately, I had no time to return, as it is a gift and immediately had to go back in the mail. Next time, keep an eye on packaging.

   great coloring book!
I bought several Dover Coloring books for my 8-year-old son, along with a package of colored pencils. He already draws such detailed pictures of trains and I thought he would appreciate these books... they did not disappoint. The coloring books are definitely geared towards older children and are of high quality, I would imagine the design board for a new car or product. My son is probably at the lower end of the age scale because the drawings are very detailed and require a little more advanced dexterity than your average coloring book, but he already finished a picture and hung it on his wall... and that was the whole point for buying it. I also appreciate the descriptions that appear with the pictures... he and I learn together about the trains and cars that are portrayed in the books. If you have a child or a young adult who is into cars or trains and also enjoys art, I highly recommend these books.

Cool coloring bock for train enthusiasts!
I bought this for my nephew, who is a train freak. It is detailed enough to satisfy an older colorist as well, but I do not think it is a good choice for very young children. I 'd say adult to pre-teen. I always gift traditional pencils, as they seem to be easier to use than colored crayons. And of course, you can find many choices on Amaoz to send it with your book.

   train coloring book
My 6 year old son loves it, but could easily be enjoyed by all ages. He enjoys realism. Each train has a map of the train line along with an exterior and an interior coloring page. There is a small paragraph detailing the history of the train. Note : My son has autism and prefers real train images verse cartoon-like imagery. There are not many coloring books out there like this for the price. We purchased at least 10 copies of this coloring book.

   Nice
Geared more for an experienced colorist. The most important information about trains in this book is however cool. I now bought for a six-year-old train enthusiast. Although he probably won 't like color yet, he can still enjoy reading and maybe even watching it.

   Absolutely fab
Top - quality!! I am so impressed with this coloring book...I'm ordering a second one! Both sides of the paper, but that is easily over come by photocopying onto thick paper. Such great coloring images : The pages show famous trains, including The Oriental Express and The City of Los Angeles.

Just right for a nine year old boy
One of three Dover coloring books, given to a nine-year-old boy this Christmas. According to his parents, he loves the book. I make art boxes for little children as gifts. Dover has a coloring book and a subject for almost any age that can be old with a colored pencil or a crayon. These books, given with a set of colored pencils and a pencil sharpener, especially for colored pencils, were the best praise and feedback I received on a children's gift. I included safety scissors, rulers, transparent tape, child safe glue, a cheap drawing pad, and other items so that children could not only color, but also cut and make other items from the coloring books.
