   A Winner
My granddaughter is a girly girl. She has a fit if her bow falls out of her hair and her play clothes are a bit fancy, Mr Hughes said. She's extremely smart and these books are perfect for her, Simon said. Nancy also likes to be fancy but she's great at helping kids read. She uses big words or phrases, which my granddaughter likes to sound out and see if she can say them. Next, we must say, helpful,'' before the sentence explains the bigger word. The only problem was deciding which book to read first. It's always a winner, even if the teacher isn't.

   Content is decent, not great
We love Nancy, we absolutely love Nancy. Some of the content is fairly sexist, like making dad look like a natural goofball when he attempts to do ballet. Overall, we still like Nancy, and I just edit Fancy sections I think aren't adding quality ideas to my child's mind.

   Mostly cute stories, but not a fan of the gender stereotypes
My daughter loves the original Nancy Fancy book and TV series, so she was excited to receive this present, Melissa said. The book is a perfect length for a quick 5 minute read. However two of the books have some sexist undertones - the ballerina story contains the line "Only girls can wear tutus" and the babysitter story is about Nancy overcoming her disappointment that her babysitter is a boy.

   Beautiful Language
The Beatles' music "was all over the place." We don't hear beautiful words today, nor do we know the meaning of life. She loved them all, even though she couldn't stand the humidity. Nancy was not the only one who had not checked these out of the library. It has been 3 weeks and her parents and grand parents have been reading them over and over and she has memorized all of them! Her Mom said she has been using the bigger words and calling the grocery store pandemonium. We love these pictures and stories, Raymond said.

   Broadens vocabulary, toddler favorite!
His 2 1/2 year old has devoured them all. So many cute guys, and tons of fun! Not too long they get bored but not so short that you can blast through them in 2 seconds, he said. The kids get to learn new words while they listen to stories.

My daughter LOVES fancy nancy and she's read all of the readers, so I got these thinking I found some she hasn't read yet! The problem is, the writer didn't realize how wrong he was. I still love them, but I have to read them.
