what i like is that they put the meaning of the harder, fancier words in the book as part of the story, Raymond said. The writer can go back and review them with the list version given at the end of the story. Great tool, Mr. Pearson said.

Fancy Nancy has become a staple in our household and a favorite of our 3-year-old. The book is divided into three sections: Tools You Need for a Backyard Expedition, Safety First and Last. The Beauty Salon story gives you all the ingredients to give mom a face mask treatment.

My daughter absolutely LOVES Nancy. She has a lot of the books, too. Four very informative, detailed soft cover books, in a great cardboard box. I think for her age though she prefers me to read some of the beginner reader books or larger format stories of Fancy Nancy, I think it might be possible for her to enjoy them. The book takes a while to read and is very detailed - more informative, rather than imaginative, Morgenthau said. Great illustrations, as always, very educational.

I've read all the books, and I'm in love. The DVD set was well worth the investment. I love that concepts like artists and scientific terms are introduced by a character she already loves, and in such a cute way, Rowling said. As a bonus, my 8 year old LOVES them. We've really enjoyed reading these books together, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

   Not for 2 year olds
These are books that are cool but definitely for an older child. My 2 year old loves Nancy and I read these books to her but some of the words and concepts are a little advanced for her. I put them away for later, maybe when she's 5, because she's too small.

These are even better than I thought they would be. The illustrations are beautiful and educational, too, said Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The new vocabulary adds to their educational value, too. Nancy was one of my 3 year old's favorite Christmas gifts.

These are the kind of books that really engage and interest children. My 2 1/2 year old LOVES them and it's a bonus that my husband and I are also entertained. The pictures are eye-catching and the stories are well-woven with concepts that get my daughter's attention. We especially like the explorer stories, Raymond said.

   Great way to boost vocabulary with young readers
These are great little stories and I love how they boost children's vocabulary, Mrs. Cowger said. They came in a perfect size case for my little newborn granddaughter to eventually carry as she grows and I plan on using this series to place a picture of the great grandmother that she didn't get to meet and share with her friends. I am going to be buying the entire collection for my granddaughter.

The book was for my 5 year old and she finds it diffcult to read because some of the letters are cursive. The only thing I can think of is that these books are useless. This is a lie, and neither will I send your child to school.
