Read and find out about the wind--what causes it, how it can be used to help us, and how it affects the weather--in this colorfully illustrated nonfiction picture book.
Air is always moving. We can't see air moving, though we can watch it push clouds across the sky, or shake the leaves of a tree. We call moving air the wind.
In this clear and appealing science book for early elementary age kids, both at home and in the classroom, Arthur Dorros shows how to make your own weather vane, and in simple terms, with playful illustrations, he explains just what makes the wind that blows all around us.

Great educational book
Derived From Web , Sep 9, 2019
For my 2 year old with a wind sensitivity, Bought. Concepts are actually beyond her grasp at this point, but she still enjoys it when I read it to her and has definitely given me information about wind, so that I can explain to her what happens when we are outside and the wind picks up. I find repetition is helpful in her situation, and I prefer speaking instead with facts, if you're fine. I imagine that this book is best for kids in primary school, but would recommend for younger children in a situation like mine.
